Taeloc sat at the base of the Zationia wall. She watched as the lights danced. The walls were filled with old magic, and she could control it sometimes. The lights danced blue and green, swirling in the nightime breeze.
Her ears twitched as the small animals made noises. It seemed as if tonight was perfect

"Taeloc!" Katrina called to her friend. Katrina never got to see Taeloc. But she had met her many years ago and became instant friends. As another Neko, she's a great friend to talk to.
Katrina hovered down to the ground and placed her feet on the ground. She pulled her green jacket straight and fixed her hair. "I haven't seen you in forever." Katrina covered her mouth because she knew she felt giggles coming. As half hyena, she will let out a burst of crazy giggles once and a while. "Anyway," She said after she stopped giggling. "I made alot of money in the Outlanders City singing and thought I'd come to Navalen for a while. The forest has gotten boring. But I did meet a racer....Audra Negron."

Tealoc jumped.
" Oh my god Katrina, dont scare me like that." She smiled at her ling time friend.
" Its been so long. I thought you left me. I was very sad." She looked back to the wall. The glowing spheres that had been there were gone. She sighed in frustratin. She had needed them.

Katrina bit her lip. She felt bad for scaring Taeloc. "Well....sorry. Didn't mean to scare you. I was just so excited." She smiled. She didn't have many friends. She does live out in the middle of nowhere.
"I haven't seen you in what...ten months?" Katrina guessed. "And I was just glad to finally find you. And right by the wall. What luck!" Katrina joked. "But anyway..."
Katrina kicked the stones on the ground and stretched her muscles from flying. "How have you been?" Katrina asked Taeloc.

" I am fine." She trned, looking for the orbs. A few pyreflies were flitting around, casting off a warm glow.
" I've been around, doinf things. Its perty hard though. There have been alot of raids. I was out here looking for a secluded place to build my new home." She looked at the clearing. It was large enough, and there were plenty of trees nearby. In the distance a small creek rumbled.

"New home?" Katrina asked, surprised. "What about your home on The Island Lighthouse? That home is beautiful or...." Katrina was afraid to ask if something had happened to it in a raid.
She waited for Taeloc's explanation.

Tealoc looked at her freind.
" They damaged the foundation. It will still be there for your party, but after that I will havve my hose built. " She took stones and marked where the rooms would be.
" Dont worry. I will have an access tunnel so that you can get here easily.

Katrina smiled. She was kinda of sad though. Taeloc's other house was so beautiful. But Taeloc was very creative and was sure her new house was going to be just as pretty.
Katrina sighed. "Well," She said walking across the rocks Taeloc had placed. "At least I can see you more often now." She smiled. A tunnel was very close to where they where now. Katrina could easily see Taeloc now.

" You can help. I need good designers. Come on. Lets go back to my house and start." She started to walk back to the tunnel. One by one, colorful orbs started to folow her.

"Yay!" Katrina cheered as she started to follow Taeloc. Some colorful orbs started to float around her. Katrina raised an eyebrow. "Um....Taeloc?" Katrina tried to get her attention.

Tealoc turned to see the orbs. She gave a wide smile and stuck out her hand. A blue orb drifted down and sat on it.
" These are one of the reasons I am moving here. These orbs harbor srange magic and I intend to find out what it is." She smiled at the orb as it transformed into a small firey blue cat.
" Oh! Katrina, this is Shaiyla. She is a friend of mine." The small creature purred and floated ovet to Katrina.

"Um...hi." Katrina said as the cat floated over toward her. "Nice to meet ya." Katrina moved out of the way to Taeloc's side. "So is this...magic...can you control it at all?" Katrina asked as she watched the orbs dance around Taeloc.

Tealoc looked at the fire cat.
" I dont really control it that much. Most of it is because I am an empath. I can feel what they want to tell me. Shaiyla is a very nice fire cat." She smiled as the little creature came over and rubed her head on Tealoc cheek.

Katrina nodded and walked past Taeloc and the cat. She was surprised that she had never noticed Taeloc's power. She had known her almost all of her life. She shrugged and started to walk into the tunnel.
"So, your new house? Where'd ya get the money?" Katrina asked.

Tealoc was surprised by the question.
" Most of it was from a few peices I made recently. It was a small chest that wont open to anyone but the owners touch. Its made from the living metal." She held up her arm. It glimmered in the sparse light. Her arm was a silvery color with a hint of bronze.
" I also made a headpiece for this one woman and a few other things. But most of it came from selling my second ship. I gave the one to the Zationian man for losinf his, and sold my smaller one. . . . . " She looked off. She still had her dune buggy and jetbaord she could use.
" So ya, thats about it. I want to be nearer to the middle so that I can have a proper forge to make my peices."

" i can't wait till you build it. And I can visit you easily now." Katrina pointed out. "And the orbs are cool." She commented as the fire cat came up and rubbed against her leg. She smiled and chuckled a little.
"Have you always had this power?" Katrina asked. She had never noticed Taeloc's power until today.

"Okay." Katrina shrugged, starting to follow Taeloc. Katrina was anxious to get back to Taeloc's house. It was one of Katrina's favorite places. It felt like a second home to her.

Tealoc started throughtbthe dark tunnels. It was a peaceful place, even in the dark. She walked on for a while iuntilshe came out on the island. With Katrina behind her, she tarted for home.
