Eshalla sat behind the counter, polishing a few glasses. The bar was open, and she was waiting to see if anyone was coming. She didnt usually have to wait long, but she didn't mind.

Evey walked through the streets her one hand gripped loosely on her staff, the other in her pocket. Her head was elsewhere as she walked in-between the beaten up buildings.
A flashing light brought Evey back to reality. "Hmm?" A open light flashed in the window sill. Looked at the sign above the storeRavens. "Why not?" Evey said to herself as she walked in and stepped into the bar.
"Hello there!"
Zeke was walking through the streets a shiny part for his wind sailer nestled in his jacket pocket. He was heading home with some money to spare from his trip to the bazaar. Could this day get any better? He thought with a smirk.

Ravens head bounced up.
" Hey, how are ya." She said to the girl who had just walked in. " What can I get ya?" Things would most likely pick up reaal fast after this.

"A nice cold beer would be much appreciated." Evey said as she sat down on one of the stools. "Hows business goin' for ya?"
Zeke was looking at the buildings lining the streets. A bar caught his eye. Zeke looked at his watch and scratched his chin feeling the small fuzz that was growing there. "Adventure awaits." He said with a small chuckle and burst in through the bar door with a smile on his face.

" Sure, comin up." She pulled out a glass and poured a cold beer. The door tinkled and she saw somone else come in.
Taking the cold beer to the girl she answered her question.
" Buisness is good when the Navalens arem't raiding the slums. There was trouble down the street the other week with them. I was up in the wastes for a bit."

"Navalins, Pfft... I was down their when it happened, they were to busy critiquing the building structure to do much harm."The sarcasm in Eveys voice was evident as she took a swig of beer. "So you were out in The Wastes eh? Nothin' there but piles of sand."
"Ello!" Zeke said, his smile bright and happy. He sat down next to only other person in the bar catching the last bit of her sentence.

" Oh. theres a lot more up there than that." She told the girl. She then turned to the man who had walked in.
" What can I get you sir.?" She asked. She was thinking about the attack the other day. True, the Navalens were too disgusted to do much damage, but still, they had been here.

"Really now?" Evey looked at the ceiling and took another swig of beer. The Waste, a whole lotta nothing.
"Glass of water please, I don't drink." Zale replied politely. "So you talking about The Waste I see?" Zeke said with some interest.

Eshalla grabbed him a glass of water.
" Ya, I go up there all the time. I used to live ther. Theres a whole city. Its easy to get to when you can fly." She smiled. It was nice shapeshifting. She could go pretty much anywhere she wanted. The Outlanders City wasn't that bad anyway.

Evey couldn't help but giggle at the mans request. I came to a bar, but i don't drink. She thought. "A city?" Evey nodded her head, still giggleing.
Zeke ignored the girls giggleing and looked with interest at the bartender. "You fly?"

" Yea theres a city. And I fly. I'm a shapeshifter, so I go up there as a hawk most of the time. Sometimes I ride my jetboard up there, but it takes a lot longer. I love it. The city is real nice and the people are friendly. They've learned to get along, and they come from all over." She wondered for a moment why this guy was so interested. Did he have missing family that might be up that way?
" Anyway, heres your water." She handed him the frosty glass she had been holding. Her fingers were a little cold, but that was okay.
So what your name Missy?" Eshalla asked the girl.

"Evey... Evey Saunders. You?"She said her giggling finished, she took another sip of beer. "So you say you shape shift? Sounds a bit painful if you ask me." She moved her glass on the table a little.
"Thank you ma'am." He said taking the cold glass. "I fly too... though I fly in a wind sailer." He said with a large grin. " I don't get out of the walls much...sadly."
Zeke thought about his last mishap when he tried to fly over the boarder.Stupid guards...He thought and wiggled around in his chair. He could almost feel the bullet wounds.

" My names Eshalla Raven. No, its not painful at all to shapeshift." She told Evey. " It happens really fast, and you can't feel anything." She then looked to Zeke.
" Thats too bad that you don't get out much. It's great out there." She turned and started to pull a few bottles out to put ont he counter behind her.

"Hmph..." Evey said resting her head in her hand. She watched lazily as the bubbles fizzed in her glass of beer.
"I wish I could get out of this city more... but this damn city is so uptight!" Zeke leaned back in the stool a little and took a sip of water. "If we spent half the time keeping people out of the city instead of in the city..."

"The day I go underground..." Zeke said trailing off. Confined space....
"Is the day you remove three vertebrae, curl your spine and eat your own ass?" Evey said finishing the mans sentence.

" You two make me smile." She thought for a moment.
" Say Zeke, I need an extra hand around here. You need a job?" She asked the man. It was worth a try. No one wanted to work here since the Navalens had stated to raid the slums.

Eshalla smiled.
" I have to warn you though. My last assstant ran because of the Navalen attacks. If Yiu're gonna stay on I need to know you can at least defend youself." She had a hard time keeping a straight face. She knew this guy could probably defend himself fine. She just needed him to say so.
" And Evey, if you need a few extra hours I'd be happy to have you around as well."

"Naw, I work up in South Town. I don't need to work at another bar." Evey said with a curt smile at Eshalla's offer
"Oh your don't worry about me." He said reaching behind him and and pulled his sword of the sheath exposeing the bare metal.
