The energy started to leave his body. He could feel the surface energy leave. Thats it, this woman has really pissed me off now. He pulled on the reserves he had stored for years, and shut down his mind, locking the maenad out. She had probobly already found out too much about him. He stepped next to Zara.
" Zara, you're lucky you are affected. This woman is a maened. She lives off the energy of others. She will pull all of the energy out of you, pretty much until you die. And she thought she could pul it on me." He stared at the woman, deciding what her fate would be. He could finish her off with a somple spell, one every scorpion mage leared when they were little, or he could kill her slowy, and leave her to die. She would proboably save herself by pulling enegry out of everyhing though


Zara listenedto Jayesons explanation. She knew that this woman had made him extremely angry. There was nothin she could do about that though. She had most likely sealed her fate.
" Miss Verde, I would leave while I can. Jayeson does not usually leave people who anger him alive." She motioned to Vince, laying unconscios on the ground.

Midori kept a straight face even after Jayeson's sudden Epiphany. "I'm sorry," She said kindly. "But I am no maenad. My name is Midori, I lived in Navalen for years. I am twenty one, I just moved to the Waste a few moths ago and I decided to check out the Celestial Forest tonight. I don't know what has gotten into Jayeson, but I am deeply offended." Midori explained as tears swelled in her eyes.

Jayeson outright laughed. The woman was lying through her teeth.
" Miss, I can see it all over you. You are a stealer of life." He gave the woman another smile, edging in fromt of Zara. He would not let this woman take her.


Zara watched the woman. She was lying, and Zara could hear it. The water whispered to her, giving her the ablity to see what hung in the air. Death was coming to all that lay in this clearing.
" Leave now. I cannot restrain him when he gets going. He's way stronger than me. I only know of one person who can restrain him, and shes in Navalen at the mment." She smiled at the woman.
" Come on Jayeson, lets ditch this lame girl. She not very nice." Zara got on her board and started to float away.

Midori became angry very quickly as Zara started to hover away. Midori put her hand up in Zara's direction and quickly got ahold of her mind. She started to suck the life and she instantly became aware of everything in Zara's life.

"I do not take kindly to people like you." Midori said sternly. She had her hand on her sword. For whatever Jayeson decided to do.

Jayeson could feel the energy being taken away.
" Zara, cut your mind off! She can't get a hold of you then!" He moved, dodging the sword the woman had ready. He gathered a ball of energy and threw it at her. It left a bright blue trail in it's wake. He went over to Zara and grabbed her, picking the jetboard up after. He jumpedd up intot he trees and ran, not liking the fact he had to ru from an enemy. But he had Zara with him, and he would let no harm come to her. He would find this woman later and get his revenge.


Zara felt a little weak inside.
"Zara cut off your mind, she can't get ahold of you then!" Jayeson yelled to her. With a quick thought she pulled up the barier she had made when she was young. The feeling of having the life sucked out of her stopped. The next thing she knew, she was flying past tree in Jayesons arms.
" I thought you were going to rip her to pieces!" She told him. He only grunted, getting farther and farther away from the clearing.
