A hawk flew above, loking down on the waterfall. Sitting there was a furry creature, very colorful. It gave a caw, calling to another hawk nearby. The Second hawk landed, and transformed. She was a realtively good looking woman, with long deep blue black hair.
" Hello." She called. Her voice sounded like low bells, soft yet strong.

The woman took her furry hand, shaking it gently.
" I'm Eshalla Raven. " She looked at the furry curiosly. She had never met a furry before, and was intrigued.
" Why are you out here alone? There are dangerous things wandering these woods."

*sweatdrops*Well as for why I'm out here....Well I was learning My new form a Sietthian,and well...they can Telaport,and I telaported here.So truthfully,I'm lost.
*smiles*But I always try make the best of things,so I'm going to travel these lands,to maybe find a place to call my own.Also to learn and maybe have a family of my own.

" What is a sitit an . . a whatever you said." She asked. She knew about shape shifting, but had never heard of this craeture before.

Siatthian (see-ah-THEE-ahn)

The Siatthia are a race of black(or white) furred, shapeshifting creatures living within the honeycombed crust of the planet, Omit. When they are born, a mask for them begins construction, usually by their parents, made from the finest gemstones and minerals that exist on Omit. By the time they reach adulthood (about 50 Omitian years) the mask is completed and will be worn for the majority of their lives. These masks protect their light sensitive vision when traveling, and allows them to shapeshift quicker then they would without.

Thier eyes are finely attuned to seeing in the dark, thus they are VERY sensitive to the light. When they see through their masks, the see the world in colorful energies, which they prefer to do in lit environments.

Their first arms have the ability to be used as forelegs, helping them to get around quicker. Their secondary arms have smaller fingers and nails, able to work with things needing more precicion.

They are carnivorous, but can live off of the planets mineral rocks for a time if needed.

Helmets/Masks
=====================
As described before, their helmets are helpful for shapeshifting. What they also are, are their identity. No two masks are the same.
The most precious stones and crystals and the most intricate of masks belong to those of nobliity, or those ranking higher in siatthian society.
Masks fall in several different styles.
Some are more creature looking, kind of draconic. These are the most common.
Some of them are shaped like skulls. Many born to warrior families are given these.
Some are more useful, those born to working families such as miners have those that give the best protection of their head and ears.
Since many of the siatthian look alike in shape and furcolor, the mask is used to distinguish one another.

If the helmet is taken away, they cannot shapeshift fast, nor can they create portals. They are thus very cautious about them.

If one siatthian defeats another siatthian in combat resulting in one's death, they will usually choose to keep the other mask as a trophy.

Portal Travel
=====================
Siatthian have discovered a kind of gem on Omit that allows them to travel instantly if on their being. These gems have been incorporated into the eyes of the masks.
With their claws they would rip a hole in space and time, and usually not knowing where they are headed, they go forth anyways to new adventures. They have great fun in visiting worlds and messing with their history, or with the heads of the peoples there. Not all siatthian choose to travel, and not all choose to be so mischevious. Every place they have been leaves an "imprint,", so that they may easily return when they will it.

" Wow. I wonder if I could do partial shifts. May be if I worked at it. It could be very useful. Thank you for this information." She smiled at Meka.
" You should come up to the city with me." She told the furry.

*a light surounds my body as my body shifts and it turns out into a weird 4 in one form*
*light clears*Eh?oh my...I seemed to have had a shape-shift fuke.Hmmm..but i like it.*giggles and I wrap my long fluffy tail around me*
Hmm...the city?Hmmm..ok.^^ maybe I can get a job.I am well known to be a good dancer.And those who have been lucky to hear me sing say I should try singing.

"I have a freind who runs a dance troupe. If you want, I can get you in his troupe." Eshalla smiled as she thought about Brett. She hadnt seen him in a long time, but she knew where he was.
" Ya know, I'm going to try this animal and human shifts. I think I can do it." A concentrated look came over her face. A pair of ears grew out of her head, and a long tail. Her legs became more catlike, and her eyes became blue slitted.
" That worked well."

" I must get going back. You can come with me if you like."

Eshalla shifted back to a hawk, and with Kar following, flew off. She headed back tot eh city, hoping she would be able to find Brett.
