Katrina rested on the branch of a tree in the forest. She had a bird in her hand. It was her lunch. She bit into the side of the strangled bird. The blood and meat tasted so good. She felt something in her mouth. She pulled out a feather. "Eww!' She screeched and threw the feather into the air.
She looked down on the forest floor. There was somebody down there. She flew swiftly to another branch to get a better look.

Audra was on a walk in the forest her mind on raceing. I wonder if I will ever be a good racer. She thought as she sat under one of the tall oaks. She grabbed a apple out of a paper bag and started eating.

Katrina watched the woman. She sat down and started to chop on an apple. The apple looked so good. She loved birds, but she hadn't had apples in months. She sighed and smiled.
She flipped her way down to the forest floor. Her feet landed with a soft thud. "Hi, I'm Katrina." She covered her mouth. She was going to start laughing again. Being half hyena had it's disadvantages. She would start to burst out in a series of crazy giggles. Weird giggles, not funny cute giggles.
"Hi, I'm Katrina," She repeated after her giggles had gone away.

"Audra." She said looking up at the giggleing person. People fly now? Audra asked stairing at the apple in her mouth. "What are ya up to...Katrina?" Audra asked continually biteing her apple.

"Oh, nothing much." Katrina said, staring up into the sky. "I'm a Neko, as you can see." She said flipping her tail and catching it in her hands. She started to stroke it. "That's why my parents left me here." She whispered. "So, Audra....what brings you to the forest?"

"Just..." Audra trailed off, she was out here to shapeshift. She dosen't need to know that. Audra thought as she looked at the neko. "Just takin' a good walk." She said witch was not entirely the truth, or a lie.

"Wait..." Katrina said. She took a good look at Audra. The name sounded familiar. That's it! "It's you! Your the new racer. The rookie Audra Negron! Holy crap!!!!! I can't believe I'm actually talking to you!" Katrina screamed. "Anyway," Katrina said floating above Audra and sitting on a branch. She looked down at her. "I cannot believe you met Jekut. He is awesome." Katrina thought. "Oh yeah, I spied on you the other day when you practiced a race with Jekut. You almost had him!" Katrina smiled. "He is hot too." She added.
"So, I hear your mechanic is Xander Tricker. How did you get him? He is the best mechanic in Tragonia. And fine too." Katrina laughed.

Audra couldn't help but laugh at the little Neko woman. "Yes I am the new racer, and I can' belief you spied on us." She smiled wondering where Katrina whould have hidding. "Yea Jekut is a cool dude, he has nice ride." She said commenting on his monster of a buggy. "Xanders a awsome mechanic, I met him in the desert he offered to help me win." She said thinking about how funny that was.

"Well, I watched you guys from the mountains along the track. Sorry." Katrina felt bad. "But anway.....so do you like either one of them at all? I'm sure they like you. I wouldn't know who to pick. Both of them have a crap load of money." Katrina sighed. "I wish I had money." Katrina said looking around the forest. This was her home.

Audra smiled thinking of both of the men. Sure they were both ritch but that wasn't what she was looking for in a man. "I think there both fine men," she said with a small chuckle. "There both in shape and are friendly." She continued as she staired down at her apple. " I never noticed anything more then that." She admited as she took another bite of her lunch.

"Nu-uh....I think there's more to the relationships than you think." Katrina told her. "As I said I spied on you yesterday...well, when you were walking away from Jekut...he's was checking you out. No, really! He was checking you out." Katrina laughed. She picked a pear off a tree and started to bite into it.
"Then one time i saw you and Xander look at an artifact in the desert and he was checking you out too!!! Damn, some girls get all the luck!" Katrina smiled.
Xander Tricker stumbled through the forest. The day had been a complete waste. All of his projects were done and he had scrounged up all the artifacts he could find.
He sighed and rested against the base of a tree. He got a cigarette out of his pocket and lit it up. He put it in his mouth then let out a puff of smoke. He laughed as he thought of Audra. She would always come in and say, "I see your still puffin those cancer sticks." He laughed.
He laid his head back to the bark of the tree and closed his eyes. he listened closely. He could swear he could hear Audra.

"Well besides the fact that you were stalking me thoughout the day and that you saw them both checkin me out, wich one would you choose?" She said as she watched the neko take a bite of a pear. I have more in common with Xander, and we have known eachother longer, but Jekut has that air of confidence he seems so sure of himself and sweet. Ugh. She thought to herself as she thougt of both of these men.
Did love have to be so hard?

"Hey, hey," Katrina yelled. "I wasn't stalking you. I was merely being a detailed spectator." She took another bite out of the pear. "Which one would I choose?" She laid down on the bench and stared up at the sky. "Well, let's see. If you were with Jekut, you could get lots of money plus your money and race all your life., Now if your with Xander, you can get the best mechanics and new cars and," Katrina took a bite of the pear. "His focus will always be on you...if you know what I mean." She laughed. She stopped laughing when her ears started to twitch.
Xander started to walk toward the voices. He could swear it was Audra.

"Well I love raceing but... I'm not sure who would be better for me..." Audra sat confused for a moment. Neither of them know I'm a shapeshifter... She thought as she stared at her unfinished apple. "Hmph." Audra traced the top of the apple core, she could sware she could hear footsteps..
"Is someone there?" Audra said, wishing she would have brang her blaster rifle with her.

"Yeah, someone's there," Katrina told Audra. "I'll be back, I'm gonna go look." She flew off the branch and started to jump from branch to branch.
It was Audra. Xander walked into a small clearing to see Audra sitting under a tall oak. "Audra?" He asked.

"Xander!" Audra exclamed when she saw the man emerge into the clearing his telltail cigerette in hand. "I see your still puffin those cancer sticks." She said as she stood up to meet Xander in the center of the clearing. "Other then givein' yourself cancer, what are you up to?" She asked playfuly.

Katrina sat up on a high branch and watched the two.
"I was just walking around. Tray Quinn said he found some uncovered artifacts in a cave around here." Xander told me. "But he hasn't showed up."
Tray Quinn started to walk through the forest. He told Xander to meet him at the entrance to the forest. Obviously, he didn't listen. He put his nose to the air and started to sniff.

"Artifacts eh?" Audra asked wondering where this cave would be hiding. I haven't gone looking for artifacts lately. To busy with racing season I guess . . . She thought to herself silently her green eyes scanning the forest. Audra could hear faint footsteps off in the distance.
"So Tray found this place?" She asked taking her attention off the footsteps in the forest.

"Who do you think found the cave?" Tray asked, quickly running into the clearing. "Xander?" He laughed.
"Ah, there you are." Xander said. "I got tired of waiting for you."
"Well, I am sorry." Tray sarcastically responded. "Now, hey Audra," tray noticed she was standing there. "are we gonna go to this cave or what?"

"Speakin' of the devil," Audra said a crooked smile on her face when she saw Tray enter the clearing. "Do you guys mind if I come to check out this cave with you guys?" Audra asked as a small smile on her face. You have to say yes! I haven't gone artifact hunting in forever! She screamed in her head as she awated Tray and Xanders response.
