Jekut pulled up to the dinner and turned off his buggy and just hopped out over the door. He usually did this when he was not in a race and he was just relaxing. He looked over at her and said “well here we are best grub in town.” He walked qwords the dinner then looked back and said “well come on they won’t bite ya. Only thing ya have to worry about is fans asking far yer autograph” he said jokingly to her and mentioned with his arm for her to follow.

Audra jumped out of the buggy her dusty cloak traveling behind her. She ran up next to Jekut and smiled. "I think they will all be wanting the Champions autograph, not the Rookies." She said elbowing him in the side as she laughed a little.
This was the first time in a wile she had been out to dinner with someone. Her and Xander went to out to eat a month ago. She could still see his face when she told him about the spaghetti sauce on his shirt and face.

“Ya well I come here after every race and every practice run I take so they know me here so they all respect me” he told her as they walked. When they walked in the person at the counter nodded and mentioned toward an empty table and smiled at his guest. “Usual” Jekut said to the man as he sat and then handed a menu to his guest. “Pick your poison” he said jokingly and smiled at the waitress who brought him some coffee. He sipped it and added sugar and creamer to it getting it to the right level of taste.

It was cold in the restaraunt, like all of the buildings in the outlands, because they were built in to the mountain face. As she sat down in the chair see was thankful that she had her cloak on to protect her from the cool back of the wooden chair. She smiled as she was handed the menu. " Hmmm food...." She looked carefully at the menu wondering what was good here.
"Jekut what do you recomend?" She asked politly crossing her legs under the table.

Jekut just said “anything you want since me only get the same thing every time since it is what I like the most. Besides all the food is good I have tried everything on their menu” he added as he smile politely and signed and autograph for a fan. “But I would probably get some ham or something…don’t really know since I don’t know what you like” he said as he tapped his fingers on the table. He was thinking of what he would do when he got home and after he finished the work he had. He only had to finish fixing a car and that only required the engine block being put back in as well as tuning some punks jet board repulsers. He figured he would make his hammer more than just a tool and use it as weapon but it would take some time, parts, and money, thankfully he had plenty of all three.

Audra looked at the menu, chuckling a bit. Big help. She thought to herself as she searched the menu narrowing down the choses to a small salad and steak. "I think I know what I'm gonna get." She said as she waved over the waitress who had given Jekut the coffee earlier.
"Could I please have a small salad with ranch dressing, steak, and some water." She asked to the woman with a small friendly smile.
"How would you like your steak?"The woman asked standing with her notepad and a pencil the other parts of the order scribbled down.
"Medium rare." She replyed as she handed the woman her menu and looked across the table to Jekut.

“They already got my order when I walked in” he said and nodded to the waitress who blushed and shuffled her feet giggling lightly before she went to place their orders. “Somehow I never get tired of that even if I should be” he said as the waitress walked away a new spring in her step. He looked around and glanced over all the articles and newspaper clippings of all of his wins and he could not help but smile. “Every time I come in here I actually feel like all I do is worth something to someone…perhaps giving them strength to push on no matter what” he added as he stared at the headline of his big crash. He did not even read it he had memorized it pretty much and his parent’s faces flashed in his mind before he shook his head sighing. “Sorry every time I see that article my parent’s faces pop into my head” he said apologizing for staring off into space. His old oath to hunt down the person responsible was still burning bright inside of him to this day. “it’s just that I am trying to track the man responsible for that incident… but all of my leads have lead to dead ends so far” he said sighing a bit.

"Being somethin' to someone is a powerful feelin', it makes all the bad things you done feel like it was for somethin'." She said as she played a bit with the silverware. Audra looked over to the newspaper articles on the bulletin board picking out the one Jekut was looking at. 'Champions biggest blunder' was the headline. She had known about Jekut's crash, she was just getting in to racing at the time and didn't make the tournament but she remembered the news.
"No leads?" She asked looking at Jekut concern on her face. Poor guy... She thought to herself as she sat her hands mindlessly tracing the engravings on her silverware.

“ya well I still try and never give up hope…go to keep driving even if it seems like your gonna come out in last” he said remembering the line. The waitress brought the food and said “careful now suga it’s hot. And we don’t want you burnin yourself in our lil’ ol’ restaurant” she giggled to Jekut as she set his plate down before serving Audra her steak. Jekut pulled out his knife and fork and dug into the succulent meat he had in front of him. “It is desert boar…very good and tender meat” he said to her before going back to eating savoring the flavor.
