Vyell walked throught the pine woods listening for animal sounds. She had a need for blood, but all of her normal donors were out of toem. She doubted she could stop anyway. So she listened and hunted. The animals were alll over, but none that she wanted. She needed a large animal at this point. She spied a gazelle running by. With quick movements she pounced, killing it. The rest was natural.

Sara sat under a tree reading a book quietly. Her white hair cascadeing over her sholders. Her ears silently twicted as her bright yellow eyes scanned the pages.
The noises of the forest were calming, to Saras cat ears. It was peiceful.

The animal made her feel normal, quenching her anmal side. She started to jump through the trees flying from limb to limb. Below her was a cat eared girl. She sat there, reading a book. How intersting . . . . . . . . Vyell jumped down, landing in front of the girl. " Hello." She said." What are you doing out in these woods alone?" The girl had extremely white hair like her own, and a pair of twitching furry ears on the top of her head.

Vyell sighed. She could see she had sared the poor girl too much already. She couldn't help it. Everyone seemed to be afraid of her. " Well Sara, I'm so very sorry that I scared you. I didn't mean to. I was out and saw you, and well, I tend to creep and . . . . " She stopped. It was hard to explain herself to people. She shook her head, and smiled at Sara. She came out of the tree and sat in front of her. " What are you reading?

Sara put her small fingers inbetween the pages and revealed the cover to Vyell. " The land that never was." She said looking up into the womans blue eyes.

"Well it is about a land far to the west that was embeded with mystory and magic. Dragons and other beasts ruled the skys and humans lived along peicefuly with them. War . . . well war did not exist anyware on this land until a evil spellcaster with his mighty black dragon comes and lays waste to the humans, who were not ready for war or battle. Gloom and death rain across the land until a man alsleep in his bed awakens and finds out it was all just a dream." Sara said, surprised that she was able to spout out the whole story to this strange creature dispite of her crippleing shyness.

Vyell looked at the girl. She was so shy, but she was telling this story. " It sounds beautiful. I guess I should go to the library more often. I never go . . anywhere anymore." She sighed. It would be nice to get out near people, but it was so . . . hard.
