"Once," Kieveira said, "I went with my mother. I was pretty young though. She was always getting sick, so we had to visit this human doctor. But it didn't help much."
Kieveira thought about her mother. Her memory was foggy, and she couldn't remember her face too well. But she did know that it was beautiful.
"So you're house is in the city?" She could only imagine how nice it must be, and the thought excited her.

"Yes, I live in the Inner City." Sookie said. "It's a very secluded spot. Not very bunched up." Sookie thought about her house. She always tried to keep ti neat and liked to tend to her garden once and a while.
"My cousins, Claudine and Claude are my neighbors." Sookie added. "They live right behind me in the Inner City. If you need anything while I'm at work you could go over and ask them They are very friendly and I'm sure they will just love you." Sookie smiled as they made their way out of the Slums.

Kieveira smiled and nodded. She watched the world she grew up in fly by. Her old shack, the old tavern, the dark alley that led to her mother's old brothel, the police station that never did anything...
Those were gone now. She was finally getting her a chance at a new life. First she'll work for this woman, then go looking for her Minotaur brethren. Who knows, maybe she can even find her father.
"By the way," she saidshyly, "YOu call call me 'Kieve' if you want. 'Kieveira' can be a mouthful."

"Ok, Kieve," Sookie smiled. She directed her zoomer down into the streets of the Inner City as they hovered above it. "I Just have to make a few stops before we can go back to my house." She told her. She directed the zoomer to a dress shop and stopped in front of it. The street was empty and lifeless. Sookie swung her legs out and landed on the ground.
"Come on, Kieve." Sookie gestured Kievera to come along. "I'll buy you a new dress." Sookie picked up the skirt of her dress and walked up the concrete stairs.

"A new what?" Kieve asked startled, "That's not necessary, is it?"
Kieveira didn't buy clothes a lot. Often times, she couldn't find things that fit quiet right. She avoided pants all her life, and wore only skirts. She bit her lip at the thought of a new dress.

"Well, it's only if you want one." Sookie told her, opening the door for her. "But I'm sure you'll find something you like...this shop has the most beautiful gowns." She smiled.

"Oh, definitely not a gown," Kieve protested. She looked around the shop. The clothes looked so pretty, so expensive. Out of the corner of her eye she spotted a green dress. It was knee length with ruffled short sleeves and a low collar. She went over and touched the fabric. It's so cute, she thought.

Sookie smiled and walked to the counter. "I'm Sookie Merlotte, I had a dress on hold." She smiled at the lady behind the counter. The lady nodded and went to get her gown she had put on hold for her cousin's birthday.
Sookie looked over and saw Kieve eying the cute green dress. Sookie grinned. "Do you like that dress, Kieve?" Sookie called.
Sookie turned her shoulder and saw the lady with the dark crimson, satin dress laying across the counter. "Thank you." Sookie said as she handed the woman a hundred marks. "Can you please bag it?" Sookie asked then looked back at Kieve.

Kieve nodded, "Yes, it's very nice."
She took a glimpse at the price tag and instantly wished she hadn't. She didn't make that much in a year! But if she was going to work for Sookie, then she supposed that she would have to look nice.
"I suppose I can chip in a littl eof what I have for it, "She said digging into her pockets.

"There's no need for that." Sookie said walking over and putting Kieve's hand down. She could see she was pulling marks out. Sookie took a look at the price tag and giggled. "Hmm...this used to be alot more expensive. I guess they must be having a sale." Sookie took the hanger off of the hook and walked over to the counter. "I'll take this one too." She smiled at the woman.
Sookie threw the marks across the counter to her as the woman bagged up both of the dresses. Sookie smiled and took the bag, she handed it to Kieve. "Thank you." She said to the woman as she started to walk out of the store. "Come along, Kieveira."

Kieveira clutched the bag. "Thank you," she said quietly. She was overwhelmed. So much was happening so fast. She followed closely behind Sookie.
"I suppose that I should probably call you Miss Sookie or Mistress," Kieve remarked. She remember a young woman from the brothel that she used to treat for epilepsy. The girl used to wear maid outfits for her customers. She called everyone master or mistress. Kieve thought of herself in a maid outfit and tried to shake the thought from her head. It wasn't the appropriate thing to be thinking.

Sookie laughed as she stepped down the stairs of the shop. "No, just call me Sookie." She said, putting her hands up in protest. "Just Sookie."
She stepped over to her zoomer as a gun shot fired through the air and hit her seat. The bullet embedded itself in the seat. Sookie gasped and jumped back as she looked to where the shot has come from.
"A raid?" Sookie breathed as she saw the man marching down the street firing shots. Two more shots hit the headlights of the zoomer and one hit the engine as oil started to pour out. "Oh, no, Kieveira." She gasped as she turned around to face Kieve. "We need to get out of here. And quick!" She picked up the skirt of her dress and started to run the opposite way of the raiders. She ran into the alley and looked back at Kieve. "Come on, hurry!" She exclaimed.

Kieveira ran after Sookie. She wasn't as light on her feet but she caught up. She turned the corner into the alley when a bullet flew right by her head, taking off the tip of her cow-like right ear. She let out a painful scream and ducked into the safety of the alley. She gripped the bag of clothes tighty against her chest with one arm, but gripped her ear with the other. It bled through her fingers. She supressed the urge to cry out again. She was a medic, afterall, she could take the blood and pain.
"We left the Zoomer. How do we get out?"

"Oh my, God," Sookie screamed. "Kieveira!" She screamed as she saw her ear bleeding. Sookie grabbed Kieveira by her hand and threw her back into the alley as Sookie took a bullet to the heart. "Damn." She screamed in pain. Luckily as a fairy, it wouldn't kill her.
Sookie grabbed the bag from Kieveira's arms. "The zoomer wouldn't run. They hit the engine, it;s gonna explode in-" Her sentence was interrupted by a huge explosion. Sookie looked back and saw her zoomer in pieces. "Damn." She muttered again. Sookie looked around to where the alley lead. She could see her house on the hill a distance away. She started to run straight with the bag of clothes in one hand and another hand pulling Kieveira. "Come on." She urged.

"Sookie, wait!" Kieveira yelled, "Stop, you're hurt!"
Kieveira didn't know what to do. She left her pack with the zoomer. She heard gun shots go off again, this time from the other direction
"Why is it that wherever I go, there's a raid?" shouted Haldis out loud. He was on another of his "business trips", but now he was caught in a cross fire. Ducked behind a trash can, he fired off a few shots. He got one guy in the head, but others were still coming. He ran forward again, this time ducking into an alley. He let off a few shots, and then he saw two young women in the alley with him. Both were wounded, one was stylish looking and the other was really odd looking. Minotaur? No time for that, they're still firing!

Sookie turned back to Kieveira. "It's ok, I'm a fairy, normal bullets don't kill me, they have to be iron." She said as she looked over a saw a man. She ran over to him and tapped his shoulder. She had heard Kieve's thoughts and knew she had left her pack in the zoomer. It might still be in one piece. "Excuse me, sir?" Sookie asked. "Could you watch over my friend here?" She didn't wait for an answer. "great. I'll be back." Sookie assured Kieve as she ran into the street.
Vivia joined the fight as she hit as many people as she could with her iron spear. Joy filled her angered personality as she flew above them and laughed wickedly. She looked down and saw a fairy. She hated fairies with all hr black heart. She went down, aimed her spear at the fairy's heart.
Sookie gasped as a bullet hit her arm as she reached for the pack through the fire. She saw an iron bullet coming her way and flew up in the air and into the alley.
