Jyo chuckled ad gave a shrug.
"Hey one makes sure not to instantly assume the abilities of another. To overestimate or underestimate someone can cause so many problems.

Jyo gained the look of a man with an internal conflict. This was a clear threat to the surrounding area, but he also had a job to do and that was to guard the barn. Granted he had slain the bandits, but there could be others.

Jyo sighed.
"It looks like I have to make a breach of contract. Give me a few minutes to leave my employer a message and then if you want to hunt this creature, I will accompany you." He said.

"Fine just make it quick before the scent goes away." Gareth said impatiently. He didn't want him to make them lose the scent. "you know what... I'll just get a head start." trail-ing off with taking second suggestions.

Quickly jotting down a small note and leaving it on the table next to the farmer's bed. Jyo soon started darting off leaving nothing but a blur in his wake.

He soon caught up to Gareth. He wasn't an excellent tracker but Gareth wasn't hard to track down.
"Alright, is there anything you can tell me about our quarry from scent?" He asked as he matched Gareth's pace. Jyo wasn't one to not rely on another's abilities when the opportunity came along.

Gareth could tell the scent from the Lycan was close. "well what I got so far is the scent is large which means it is a big one... then he he looked around in the spot he was in. "and Im not just sayin that because he ate all my food... I mean the farmer animals." edging out his sword just in case he might need it.

"So a big one eh? Well the bigger they are, the harder they fall." Jyo replied while his face went deadly serious. A fight was likely unavoidable in this situation and Jyo was switching to becoming little more than an instrument of death now.

An electrical charge built around him and his left hand crossed over the grab the handle of his sword as he let the surges of lightning gather there. He didn't know how well his thunderclap strike would fare against his foe, but it would be worth a shot.

Gareth could'nt tell how big it was,"uh I don't know... But considering its a werewolf my guess was past average size... I guess" He said with a confused look on his face. He started to beome very impatient "this could go on forever and Im still hungery.... I still didnt eat."

"I understand that you're hungry, but I don't think this guy is gonna stop what he's doing. He'll run out of the food you eat and then go after the residents of this area. And I don't like the idea of that." Jyo replied as they ran. He wasn't fond of killing, but in this situation he was more than willing to do so if it came down to it. He doubted they could reason with their quarry, though he would give one go at it.

"Besides, this might turn out to be good practice, I haven't had anything that could really challenge my skills come along in a while." He added, and the dead serious look on his face told that he wasn't kidding around, he felt that this really was an excellent spot of training. He wasn't scared of his foe, instead their quarry should be afraid of them.

Gareth wasn't paying Jyo any attention "you know Im hungry, so I gotta eat and the sooner i find something the sooner we can move on..." as soon as he finished his sentence he saw a hare jump from the bushes and chased after it. when he caught up to it he slaughtered and ate the whole animal in less than 5 bites.

Jyo considered stopping for Gareth as he went to go and feed on some animal in the area, he could understand hunger. jyo didn't have the time though. He kept pushing on after their quarry, making sure to run his hand across things and make an obvious trail for Gareth to follow.

There were tracks now and Jyo would be reaching their target before long. He narrowed his eyes.
This is pretty foolish, but having seen this before, it's the only way, the beast is likely feral and it will be a short matter of time before they become a menace to the surrounding area. He thought as he came to a clearing and there was the beast in all it's glory. A Lycan as Gareth and the tracks had told him. Seven feet tall at the least and it had the wild eyes that told Jyo it was wild and couldn't be reasoned with. It darted at the young elementalist and Jyo gripped his weapon in his left hand while jumping to the side and slashing at the beast. It darted to the side and howled in rage at the creature who would dare attack it.
"Come on beastie, it's time for you to be put down." He said.

Gareth looked around to notice that Jyo left before he finished eating. "you could of waited for me!" he yelled out loud not caring if Jyo heared it or not. Then as the sound of a howl echoed from a distance, and Gareth rushed to the source of the sound, when he got close enough to hear jyo comment to the lycan, he jumped up to a near by tree and watched as the werewolf charge back at Jyo.

Jyo had heard the comment but he had switched his mental state over to complete combat mode. There really wasn't much going on in his head right now except the battle. THe lycan was coming in again and used it's claws to slash at Jyo who responded by bringing up the sheath of his weapon and letting the claws hit it as he slashed out with his sword and made a deep gash on the Lycan's arm.

The Lycan howled in fury before kicking out with it's foot. Jyo stepped to the side and let the attack flash past him while an electrical charge build up before jabbing the end of his sheath and connecting with the creture's gut before sending a bolt of lightning down it and sending the Lycan flying back into a tree which cracked the trunk and sent leaves fluttering to the ground.

THe lycan got back up and Jyo resumed his ready stance waiting for the beast to come in again.

Gareth looked at both of the two fighting, as he fiddled his sword in his hand "well it looks like your hands are tied and dont need my help I just be up here if you need me" Gareth was eager to fight but he it did'nt seem fair for him to make it 2 on 1. "just knock if you need anything." he said as he laid down on the branch.

Jyo had indeed heard Gareth, and he gave a noticeable no in acknowledgment, but he was still focused on his opponent. The Lycan came in at Jyo once more and the red haired swordsman stepped forward and his sword came upward in a stab into the beast's gut while one of the clawed hands raked across his cheek. It wouldn't scar, but it still made a few nasty cuts.

Jyo kicked at the beast's chest while pulling his sword out, but the creature grabbed his foot and flung him to the side into a tree. Jyo hit the trunk and slid to the ground before getting to his feet right as the Lycan was above him slashing down with it's claws and hitting Jyo's sword hand, knocking the weapon out of his grip.

Seeing another slash coming for his face, Jyo brought up his sheath in both hands and blocked the attack. The Lycan stared pressing down and force Jyo to his knees.
"Alright, I think a little help is in order." he called out as he tried to hold the beast off of him.

Gareth jumped from the tree and tackled the Lycan, then began punching it in the face untill the beast headbutt and kicked him off. Gareth then got up rubbing his head. "ok dude its you turn." he said as he slapped Jyo's hand.

[Jyo]

Jyo darted over to his weapon returning the slap on the hand before grabbing the weapon and turning to face the beast before him. Dashing in Jyo stabbed once more, he knocked away the incoming arm with his sheath and the sword pierced the Lycan's gut and Jyo narrowed his eyes while he released a torrent of lightning down his arm and through the sword

It took several moments as the creature howled in agony, but then it was a blackened charred corpse on the ground with smoke drifting off of it.
"Well that was something a little more difficult than i normally tackle." He said before looking at Gareth.
"Thanks, I know that it wasn't much, but you saved my skin back there." he said.

Gareth sniffed the dead body and then gave a faint grin. "good job... killed a werewolf and you really didn't need my help to do that" he said as he pointed to the body. His right ear began to twitch a bit, "Now would be a great time to go..." he began to start walking back. "werewolves mainly tend to live in packs" one werewolf was trouble enough, but many was too much to handle for Gareth.

Jyo sheathed his sword and gave a nod in response to Gareth's suggestion. Jyo could likely fight them off with Gareth, but there was no point in sticking around to find out. The line between bravery and foolishness was defined buy such choices.

Pushing off with one foot, Jyo started darting back to the farm where he had taken his job as a guard. Hopefully he could return before the farmer awoke. Despite leaving the note to explain his absence from his post, Jyo felt it would be better to be present when the man woke up.

Gareth Started rushing his way past Jyo, "alright nice to meet you Jyo I got to go as well... If the farmer asks... It wasn't me..." Gareth turned and disappeared near towards a nearby bush.

"Farewell Gareth." Jyo said with a grin as he was glad to have found an ally, shortlived as the alliance may have been. He wouldn't tell the farmer anything about Gareth, he owed him a favor after all.
