Robert sat on the cobblestone pavement. And watched the crowds drone past him with a look that only a predator would have. Though with a cheesy smile and and false uplifting tone of voice. He could fool any of these people who he really was. Damn. He wanted to write this stuff down. It'd make a great book some day. Laughing to himself he set out his arts across a sea blue woven blanket. His wares ranged from bottles carved from the wood of a tree. To bracelets and anklets that we're made out of finely blown sand. He was an artist and though he hated selling the thing he made, there was no other way for him to make money. He had no other marketable skills beside being a born werewolf alpha. Shaking his head like a wolf would to brush of an irritating fly he cleared his head. He turned his attention back to selling his wares for the local currency. It was become a bit of a tedious day an the crafts were slow to sell but it wasn't long before Robert had enough to make sure he had somewhere to eat and sleep for the day. Then the cycle would repeat. He began to wrap up his items so he could go to another shop to buy some food before he opened up again.

Crystal stepped out of Miss Thorton's apartment and looked over the balcony. It was hot and sunny in the city as usual. Crystal felt the wind blow through her short white hair as she looked down at the streets over the balcony. She saw a man with a blanket set in front of him with shiny objects on it. Crystal leaned over to get a better look. I do need something to buy for Miss Thorton's birthday. Crystal thought. She started down the hard rocky stairs and turned the corner to the man. he was starting to pack. "excuse me." She called as she started to walk toward him.

He heard the scurrying feet along the cobblestones long before they got anywhere near him.
"Excuse me?"
The woman's voice rang through the ground, he stopped packing for a moment and turned his head to look towards her. He stood up afterwards though it probably wasn't one of his best ideas he was around 6ft and that was scary to some people. He didn't want to intimidate her do instead of a slight annoyance a being late to luch being shown on his face he kept his smile.
"Well hello there. What can I do for a lovely lady such as yourself."
Robert was young. Only 18 but because of his experiences he always acted older than his age but with a childish charm. Maybe that's why he kept the blue tips in his black hair but then again they did go nicely with with mixed skin colour.

Crystal smiled and stopped a few feet away from the men. She took a breath and smelt a strange scent. She stopped for a moment then smiled at the man. "Oh, I was just wondering what you were selling." She said, eying the blanket. The scent stayed in her area. She could have sworn she had smelled it before. Her senses were enhanced thanks to the wolf who had turned her into a werewolf, but this scent was frustrating her as she tried to keep a small smile.

"I was just wondering what you were selling"
The lady had a puzzled look upon her face like she was trying to work something out. Robert didn't use his werewolf senses in cities. He picked up to many at once to filter. Though being an alpha wolf meant he was not only a born werewolf (unmarked) but he had heightened senses than the average werewolf.
"Well feel free to browse, I mostly deal it arts and crafts though if you can tell me what your looking for and the occasion I may be able to help"
Though concentraiting on the sale, he was still worried about missing lunch. Aw well. He thought to himself. He could get some food another time, right now he had to help this lady find something to buy.

Crystal smiled and nodded. She started to look at the beautiful objects. "I'm not looking for anything particular, I just need something for my adoptive mother, Miss Thorton." She explained.
Crystal took a long sniff and the scent filled her nostrils again. The familiar scent finally dwelled on her as she stopped in front of an ornament. Could this be a scent of another....werewolf, Crystal thought. She looked up at the man and studied his face. Crystal had never met a male werewolf, let alone another werewolf in general.
"Did you make these yourself?" She asked, holding up the bright red and black ornament and studying his face at the same time. She wondered if she should take the risk of asking him if he was a werewolf.

Darren nodded at the first part, it was understandable that she'd want such a thing. "Yes I do make them all myself. I craft them." He didn't know why but he let his sense drop. The murkiness of the cities scents hit. He tried to filter them like you would swim through water. He met little resistance but eventually he found the woman's one. He grinned.
"I have something perfect for you. Turning around he reached into his pack which contained his best work He took out the amethyst carved wolf he work on. It depicted a wolf on top of a small cliff baying its head at the moon. He held it front of her in the direct sunlight. The beams bounced through it making it shimmer from blue to bright pink.
"I think she'll like this" He said with a smirk

Crystal put down the ornament she was holding and watched him get out the new ornament. She looked and saw the wolf. "That would actually be perfect for her." Crystal laughed.
She took the ornament in her own hands and laughed. Ever since she had told Miss Thorton that she was a werewolf, Miss Thorton had become interested in the race. She set the ornament down in front of her and looked back at him. The scent was pushed her way by a wind again. She looked back down at the ornament. Could he be trying to tell me that he knows? Crystal thought.

He could see that she wasn't going to say anything. So he would push the matter. "Hey us lupine type have to stick together, have it free."
That was the biggest possible hint he could drop if he was wrong he just made an arse of himself if not then he may of found one more of his species.

Crystal didn't know what to say. She was indeeded in shock and was positive that he was a were. But it couldn't hurt to ask. Crystal leaned over the blanket and whispered. "Are you a werewolf?"

Robert couldn't help it. He jumped up and hugged to woman. then stood apart from her once again.
"Yes I bloody well am. The born kind mind you. I'm the hereditary alpha of the Rowanwood Clan. Though of course you may not have heard of them."
Robert was happy, he'd been alone in the world for so long it'd been almost 3 years since he'd seen another werewolf and he couldn't help but express himself. Besides touch was a key part of being a werewolf. Something hit him. He sniffed again.
"You were changed not to long ago. Your a marked wolf. He continued "Now don't be worrying I'm not prejudiced but you haven't had a pack nor a clan to live with have ya now?"

Crystal was utterly surprised when he jumped up and hugged her. But she couldn't help but smile that she had found another werewolf. She didn't even knows his name! He didn't even know her name! Crystal was shocked, but listened closely to everything he had said.
"Yeah I was bitten." Crystal talked in a hush tone. "When i was 9, a werewolf bit me and dropped me off in the desert. I've been white wolf ever since."
"I'm not in any clan or pack...I live with Miss Thorton." Crystal said. Crystal knew what a pack was but she wasn't sure if she should join one. "But first of all, I'm Crystal. Crystal Norris." She smiled putting up her hand.

"Yeah I was bitten." Crystal talked in a hush tone. "When i was 9, a werewolf bit me and dropped me off in the desert. I've been white wolf ever since."
Robert still happy at his new find listened closely it was like meeting a long lost family member all over again.
"I'm not in any clan or pack...I live with Miss Thorton." Crystal said. . "But first of all, I'm Crystal. Crystal Norris."
"Mother of all spirits, how rude of me." He gave her another hug and extended his hand afterwards "I'm Robert Rowanwood, Born Alpha to the Rowanwood Pack."
He was giddy with excitement, amazed that she'd survived a werewolf attack at so young and survived the transformation. Other normally died or went insane. He looked over the women again. Looks can be deceiving. She doesn't look it if she survived that young and has managed without any other pack members since then she was a good survivor. Bending down to wrap up his inventory of items her placed them carefully back into his bag but allowed her to keep the one she held.

Crystal smiled and took his hand. "Nice to meet you, Robert." Crystal put the ornament in her pocket. "Thank you, for giving this to me free." She thought Miss Thorton would like it. She had become interested in werewolves when she met Crystal.
"You're an Alpha?" Crystal continued. "Leader of the pack. That must be exciting." Crystal had only read about packs and Alphas in books. She was interested to hear what it was from a real Alpha werewolf.
Lettie May Thorton looked out the window to the balcony and didn't see Crystal. Her muscles were aching with the curse again and her eyes had sunken back into her head. She was dressed in a short sleeved shirt and old black pants.
She creaked the door open as sun blurred into the old apartment. Lunch was ready and she wanted to find Crystal. She stepped onto the balcony and looked around. When she didn't see Crystal, she looked over the side out into the Outlander's City. She looked around the busy streets and finally spotted Crystal having a conversation with another man. Lettie's eyes grew wide. Crystal didn't usually go up and talk to street vendors. She wondered if there was something about this man.

"Well uh I'm kind of an alpha." He said scratching the back of his head. "You see Alpha's are born or when they're bitten are instantly, they I've got the potential to be one except I don't have a pack. But I can claim the title." He sighed "Simply Anyone can become and alpha but few are true ones."
He laughed a hearty laugh.
"I guess you could say that I'm an alpha in training." The woman seemed to be taking all this well. He couldn't see any disbelief in her eyes. He saw a robin sitting on top of the pole above his head, he couldn't resist the temptation to show off a bit. Whistling as in a higher pitch bird call the bird came to his shoulder. He stroked the top of its head and let it sit there. He looked back at Crystal and grinned.

Crystal grinned as Robert told his story. "Well, I'm sure you would make a great Alpha if you had a pack." Crystal wondered if he would ask her to join his pack. She wondered what she would answer. She did just meet him.
Lettie May tried to get a better look of the boy from the balcony. She started to mutter a spell and slowly wave her hands above where the boy was standing. A small ball of glowing pink dust appeared. She pushed it down and it slowly started to form around the boy. It turned a dark black. Lettie forgot what that color meant. She broke the spell and the ball of light disappeared into thin air.
Lettie went back into the apartment and pulled a spell book from the shelf. She looked at the color chart. "Green=Human, Pink=Fairy, Black=Werewolf" Lettie May gasped and rushed out to the balcony again.
Crystal laughed when the bird appeared on Robert's shoulder. She could see some dust form around him and then disappear. Crystal knew that was a Race Spell. She looked up at the balcony and didn't see Miss Thorton. Crystal quickly forgot about it and smiled back at Robert.

Not good, someone was watching him. He saw the spell. He felt its presence when it neared him, though he could only cast basic magic he was brilliant at spell sensing and mixing.
"Crystal someone just used some sort of detection spell on me, would you know who?"
His ghost of a grin was still there but he wouldn't let himself be caught again. You didn't survive as a lone wolf unless you know to things. When to fight and when to run, and he added his own rule; when to know what the hell's going on.
"Crystal who is coming, I can hear the footsteps, who's coming now!"
Robert was irritated, he trusted this woman simply because she was a werewolf. Bad mistake even werewolves in their own population have the malicious ones. The fact he was willing to extend an invitation to her to his pack without second guessing her? He was making basic mistakes.

Crystal put her hands up defensively. "It's ok! It's ok!" She told Robert. She didn't want Robert to think she was a bad person or a liar. She might as well tell him the truth. "It's just Miss Thorton. She must have done a detection spell to see what you were. I'm sorry, she's just curious. She must be happy i found another werewolf, that's all." She told him.
Lettie May saw that she had angered the werewolf. "Oh no." She whispered. She started to come down the stairs and turned to walk toward the vendor. She bit her lip and looked at Crystal.
Crystal saw Miss Thorton approaching. She smiled and looked at Robert. "See? It was just her. She's no harm, I promise." Crystal tried to assure Robert.

Robert sighed, it was just a misunderstanding. It was the girl's guardian.
"I'm sorry for acting like that. It's just I prefer that not the whole world know who I am. You as your another werewolf and you mother who knows about you are the exception"
He took a deep breath to calm his nerves, he could feel the muscles under his knuckles shifting a bit. He let his emotions take control and if the girl hadn't pointed out that the woman was her mother then it could have gotten bad. He was still young for a werewolf who could live over quite a few centuries but however due to fighting and pack dominance struggles most normally died within their 40s. Just as he was pondering this a woman was pushing past the crowd toward himself and Crystal. He would not run, he would control himself and find out what this woman wanted. He waited until she reached him.

"it's ok...Miss Thorton does it to everyone. It's natural for her." Crystal tried to assure him. she saw out of the corner of her eye, Miss Thorton coming over. Crystal turned her head and gestured Miss Thorton over.
Lettie May came over with a horrible headache and her stomach hurting. She went to the man's side. 'I'm sorry, I didn't know you could feel the spell." She put her hand up. "I was worried about Crystal. I'm Lettie May Thorton. People around her call me Miss Thorton."
Crystal bit her lip and prayed that Robert wouldn't be mad. He was the only other werewolf she had met and didn't want him to be mad at her and never talk to her again. He hoped he would take Miss Thorton's apology.
