Robert listen to the woman and couldn't help it any longer.
"No worries, perfectly understandable that you would want to protect her from a stranger. And as your spell probably told you." He dropped his voice a little to show he was disappointed at her invasion of his privacy " I am a werewolf, but allow me to introduce myself in a civillized manner. I am Robert Rowanwood born Alpha to the Rowanwood pack."
He gave the woman a little bow, but while he kept his head low he gave a wink to Crystal.
"Your Daughter tells me your interested in werewolves are you not?"

Crystal sighed relief when she saw Robert wasn't really mad. She watched him introduce himself to Miss Thorton.
Lettie May smiled. "What a gentlemen." She laughed. "But yes, I do watch over Crystal. And I do worry about her alot of the time." Lettie May never really considered Crystal her daughter. Since the curse, she cannot have a child of her own, but thinking Crystal as her daughter kinda of made her happy.
"yes, when I met Crystal I became interested in werewolves. An Alpha, eh? Interesting." She said.

"Of course, My father was an Alpha before me and his grandfather and so forth. I'm the last remaining Rowanwood."
He tried to hide the pain in his voice, he knew that his cousin could be out there somewhere. But until then he had to focus on the now.
"An Alpha I may be surely a woman with your such interest knows that I'm not a true alpha until I can form my own pack."
He knew though he was slightly older than Crystal he'd seen more and experienced near death because of it. He knew when to keep his tone respectful and show that he meant it. His duty was to find a raise another pack to keep the Rowanwood name going. Though he told his father explicitly that if he was to do this he'd do it his way. Robert lifted his head and looked at the lady. A light breeze was beginning to float along the wind, he saw the robin that he called down tweet a fly off. It was going to rain soon.

Crystal sighed and put her hair behind her ear. She smiled. She was actually thinking of Robert's pack. She kind of wanted to join. She wasn't sure how old he was, he looked older. But either way, she wanted to join.
Lettie May smiled. "Well, why doesn't Crystal join you pack?"
Crystal's eyes grew wide and she gulped. She turned back to Robert and shrugged and smiled.
Lettie May laughed and looked back at Robert. "Well, Robert, I ma very sorry I startled you with my spell. To make it up to you, how about you come up to the apartment? I just made lunch."

Robert looked back from the skies and turned back to Crystal and her mother.
"Well, why doesn't Crystal join you pack?"
Robert nearly went wide eyed. It was true he wanted members for his pack. He never considered that Crystal would want to leave her home for this. He would explain to her what this would involve it was no simple matter. If she joined his pack then not only would she be stuck to it. But because she was the only other person she would become his second in command unless he found other members that would challenge her. Robert looked back at the sky, it was tuning a deep grey and he began to see the first few droplets fall from the sky.
"Well, Robert, I ma very sorry I startled you with my spell. To make it up to you, how about you come up to the apartment? I just made lunch."
He smiled, an it was one straight from the heart. But he knew that Crystal would need training if she was going to survive. He was only 16 but he had been raised as pack and knew what to teach her. Then there was her mother. He wanted some way to repay the kindness she'd shown him. She was deeply interested in werewolves. He had an idea. Well 2. But he'd save those for later.
"I'd be honoured to come back, please lead the way" The spikes in Robert's hair were beginning to fall into a fringe from the rain. It almost made him look presentable. Almost.

Crystal gulped and then bit her lip. Crystal wasn't sure if she wanted to leave her home just yet. I mean, they just met too...no need to jump into anything so quickly.
"well, come along then." Lettie May smiled. She turned around and headed toward the stairs. She made her way up the stairs and to the balcony and opened the door to the apartment as cool air brushed her face.
Crystal walked besides Robert. Crystal was a little shocked Lettie May invited him for lunch. but wasn't exactly angry. She hopped her way up the stairs giddy and walked into the apartment. Crystal wasn't exactly sure what to say after the pack-joining comment.

Robert followed Crystal's mother back up the street to her apartment. He hoped it'd be a short walk. He was starving. He adjusted the things on his back. The pack was once again full with the items he'd crafted. His mind drifted back to the argument with his father while he walked... "You will raise a pack, the strongest ever seen and I will take it from you once your done." "NO! I will not do it, if I want a pack I'll have it made from the people I want and choose. I will not be used to instigate some pack feud. "You have no Choice my son. Either you do what I've asked. Or I'll take you pack by force. Robert walked out the oak door and slammed it in his fathers face.
It'd be 2 years since then. He needed to pick now. If he decided he wanted Crystal in his pack then he'd be going against his fathers orders. If he told her no he could buy himself more time. But for what he'd be alone and eventually his father would drag him back after a while. If he had a pack he had protection. He needed a loyal one not a strong one. He snapped out of his depressive thinking at looked at the door to the woman apartment.

Crystal looked at Robert as she closed the door behind them. The air conditioner was on full blast in the only window. Crystal went over and turned it off. She looked back at Robert. He seemed to be like in a trace. Crystal went over and waved her hand in front of her face. No reaction. Crystal snapped her fingers. "Robert, are you ok?"
Lettie May walked into the cool kitchen as the cold marble floor set a chill up her spine. She cooked some meat and a few fruit was in a bowl. Luckily, she had cooked more portions today. She put the food on a plate and set them on the table. Three places this time. Lettie May smiled at just the thoughts of Crystal finding another one like herself.

"Huh? What?"
Robert snapped out of the memory, Crystal was waving her hands in front of his face, gently he grabbed her hand and put it back down.
"Yeah I'm still here." He said then realised what he done "Uh yeah, Sorry for zoning out on you but I'd just remembered something."
He was slightly more worried now. If Crystal did join him she could get hurt. It was better if he ran now and tried to fight his dad and the rest of his wolves. It'd be suicide though... He couldn't do that and he didn't want to raise a pack just to have them killed. No he'd make sure they stayed hidden and out the way. That was his plan.
He put his pack into the corner near some shelves and sat at there table.

"It's ok." Crystal said as she pulled her hand out of Robert's. "You just looked kinda...upset." She turned on her heel and sat at her usual spot at the table. She saw some little blobs of energy floating above the table. She muttered a spell and started to move them with her mind. She always tried to practice her magic whenever she could.
Lettie May put a plate in front of Robert and sat down at the table. "Ok, eat up." She smiled as she picked up her fork and knife and started to cut the meat.
Crystal nodded as she took an apple from the bowl of fruit and bit into it. She was still watching the blobs of energy float above the table. If she was quick, she would be able to catch one.

Robert thanked Crystal for worrying for him and turned back to the table. Soon her mother came in and placed a plate filled with food on the table in front of him.
"Thank you for the meal"
Though etiquette dictated otherwise Robert went straight fir the meaty portion of the meal. He didn't want to be misunderstood. He liked fruits and veg but he was a carnivore at heart and he hadn't eaten a full meal in a few days. Though he was ravenous he didn't let his manners slip while at the table. When he'd finished the meat he moved onto an apple an so on and so forth till his plate was finished. For the first time in days he felt full. Now he had to think. He wanted to repay Crystal's mother for her kindness and he had 2 offers he wasn't sure she'd accept the first one however she was sure she'd like the second.
"Ma'am I would like to repay you for the kindness you've shown me. I understand you have an interest in werewolves so I can offer you two thing or both." Robert took a deep breath "The first is an offer to make you a werewolf yourself, it's not necessarly painful and because of my blood you would be powerful and the marks would be gone." He would wait for her reply to this if she said no then he was sure she would like the second gift instead.

"How did you know I had marks?" Crystal said as she pulled her arms down under the table and fixed the sleeves so that it came down to her wrist. Damn, my sleeves must have rolled up while I was talking to him! Crystal screamed at herself. She had always been embarrassed of her scars. She was even embarrassed to show her scars to Miss Thorton.
"You're welcome." Lettie May told Robert. She listened closely as he explained his offer. Lettie May took a deep breath. It wasn't exactly her decision, it was Crystal's. Lettie May wasn't her biological mother. She wasn't related to her at all. But she does care for Crystal like her own child. If his blood would make her stronger, she wouldn't have to worry about her when she changes into a wolf.
"Well, as long as it's alright with Crystal, it's alright with me." Letti May told Robert.
Crystal gulped and stared at Miss Thorton and thought about what both her and Robert had just said. Soon,s he stuttered, "Ok."

Darren stayed quiet through Crystal's small outburst. When she finished he explained.
"Your sleeves didn't roll up nor did you show me. I could smell the marks. Non born werewolves who aren't in a pack will always carry the scent of the person who attacked them. However I can remove those marks with my magic and my blood. Together they should suffice."
Robert continued to listen to Miss May, and once she made her decision he remained impasse. She made her choice and he was happy if it meant he could have a 3rd pack member.
"I'm glad you accepted it will make my second gift more helpful to you. Now I will allow the change now. Please don't look shocked, it will take a second and you will only feel a sharp quick pain, like a syringe. Give me a moment."
Robert closed his eyes. Wolves who'd been in a pack or who were in one learnt this trick. It took concentration but it was useful. He focused on his mouth and focused on his transformed one. He felt his teeth long en and eventually his teeth and saliva in his mouth and his tongue became wolf like. The rest of his body remained the same but just the interior of his mouth changed.
"If you want this to happen please give me your hand quickly."

Lettie May gave her hand to Robert, closed her eyes and turned away.
Crystal bit her lip and slumped in her chair. She wasn't exactly curious about what Robert was doing. She had read it plenty of time with the books she read. She took a deep breath and crossed her arms.

He took her hand and gave it quick bite with his longest tooth. He focused and changed his teeth back to human. But left the saliva and his tongue wolfish. He let the saliva from the bite sit in the wound quickly then stuck his finger into the side of his mouth and rubbed the saliva on the top of the wound. He watched as the wound resealed back to perfect unmarked skin.
"Sorry if that was a bit grotesque but it the least painful and least savage way of doing it. On the end of this month you will change into a werewolf, unlike any other werewolf like an alpha your change will be painless and you'll have complete control of yourself when you are a wolf." Then he walked away from the table and reached into his bag. Inside it was an old book marked with years of handling, it's pages yellow from use. "Take this as well, it's a complete book on everything about werewolves. From behaviours to becoming one yourself, it's on the oldest books in werewolf lore I borrowed it from my father" He said with a grin. "Crystal I'm sorry but getting rid of your marks will not be a quick. Please come over here and roll up your sleeves."

Lettie May looked at her hand. She felt a surge through her body. She looked at the book Robert twas handing out, and with her free hand she took it. "Thank you, Robert" She smiled. She walked up to the shelf that held her books and placed ti in a safe place. As she was putting in, she wondered about the curse. What would this transformation do to it? She had to find out.
Crystal gulped and sighed. Tears welled in her eyes as she rolled her sleeves up to where the marks stopped. She hated her marks, but wouldn't pass up a chance to get rid of them. She pulled back the tears and slipped out of her chair. She looked at Robert as she walked up to him.

Robert hesitated. He could see the tears spilling from Crystals face. Was it because she didn't want him to do it or because of the marks? No he was sure it was the marks. She said it was.
"I'll make it as quick as I can."
He focused on his hand and watched as it slowly changed into a wolf paw, then..... he hated this bit. He used the tip of his claw to cut himself along the arm. He winced a bit, but it was to late to stop now . He changed his left hand back to a hand and dabbed a bit of blood on its thumb. Gently smudging it on the mark until it covered it he then focused on the words of magic.
"Aruiam Xel'atoth Corthu Explik"
He focused all his body onto it, he was a poor spell caster at best, he lacked training in the art. He felt the rush of energy leave him. He looked over to see his blood has disappeared and the marks gone. Turn to face are tear filled face. He smiled.
"It's done"
And with that he passed out.

Crystal was nearly stunned when she saw her arms bare of the marks. The tears instantly went away as she watched Robert pass out. "Robert!" Crystal exclaimed. She fell to her knees and looked down at his face. He looked pale and drained of energy. "Miss Thorton, is he gonna be ok?" She asked.
Lettie May rounded and crouched next to Crystal. "He'll be ok, the spell just took alot out of him. That's all." Lettie May tried to remember what it said in a book she read. "I think it says he'll be out for a few hours. 3 or 4 possibly. Maybe 2 if we're lucky. I use a spell and lift him into the guest bedroom, go get some cold water in a bowl, with a wash rag in it."
Crystal nodded and rushed into the kitchen. Crystal got a bowl and filled it with cold water. She grabbed a wash rag out of the cupboard and went into the guest bedroom.
Lettie May had no trouble doing a levitation spell and lifting the boy into the other room. She took the bowl from Crystal's hands and put it on the nightstand. She took the wash rag and dabbed it into the bowl. She dabbed Robert's face with water. "Don't worry, he'll be fine." She said, looking back at Crystal. "I have to go to the market. I'll be back before he wakes up." Lettie May said as she went around Crystal out of the room.
"Umm...ok?" Crystal stuttered.
"You'll be fine." Lettie May said, slipping her shoes on. "Just go in every ten or 15 minutes and check on the poor guy. He did heal your scars." Lettie May reminded her. "And put some water on his head. It might help him get his energy back quicker." With that, Lettie May went out the door.
Crystal bit her lip and looked into the guest bedroom. She sighed and sat down in one of the chairs. Crystal kept checking on him and dabbing water on his head. When she wasn't checking on him, she was reading the book he let them borrow.
After two and a half hours, Crystal was getting worried about Miss Thorton and Robert. Crystal went back in to see him lying there, peacefully. She went over and dabbed the wash rag in the water and dabbed it on his head.

It was dark, oh so very dark and cold. A crisp wind through the cavern. He could feel himself shivering, not from the cold. What await him in the caverns he didn't want to face but he had to pay for what he'd done. He willed his feet forward though his mind protested and the cavern opened up into a massive room. A Pack Courtroom. The voices echoed out in the marble walls.
"Robert you accused with attacking and killing humans. The pack has evidence of this and key members have seen it, therefore we find you guilty."
Though he screamed at protested his innocence and shouted about how he was lead into it...they ignored him. He was dragged by the Beta and the third to a room and beaten within inches of his life. Of course he was given an adult trial, he was an alpha he had to know the difference already even at 8 years old. After they'd beaten him he was left in that cell for a month. Not once did his father come to see him, not once did his father explain what he'd done. Not once did his father say that he was teaching him about blood-lust control. They'd assumed it was his fault. His mind kept replaying the scene were he protested his innocence.
"It wasn't me...." He muttered over and over again.
Robert's eyes flicked open, he felt drained mentally. His mind was fuzzy and he couldn't remember what he'd done. Then he sat up and saw Crystal with her book the rag fell of the top of his head and into his lap.

Crystal jumped a little when sh saw Robert sitting up on the bed. "Glad to see your ok." She told him. She put the book down and walked over to his side. She took the rag and dropped it back into the bowl. "You passed out after you did the spell."
Crystal gulped as she looked at her arms and then looked back at Robert. She couldn't even describe the gratitude she felt toward him. "Thank you so much," Crystal stuttered. "for taking away my scars." She turned around and sat back in the chair. She tucked her legs under her and studied her arms. She looked back up at Robert. "It really means alot to me."
Lettie May started up the stairs with bags of food, essences, potions and a new book on curses in her arms. She opened the door quietly and could hear Crystal talking to Robert. She swiftly walked passed the door and into the kitchen. She put the food and everything else away until the only thing she had left in her arms was the book on witch curses.
Lettie May tip-toed into her room and slipped the book under her bed. She looked down the hall and started for the guest bedroom.
