It was near dusk when Darren passed the outskirts into Waterfall Canyon the moonlight shimmered on the mist that had risen to Darren ankles. The horizon was a beautiful shade of dark cerulean as the silver orb that is the moon hit its peak. It seemed that he could travel through this part of the wastes for ages never leaving. He couldn't though. He would miss travelling the world and seeing the cultures of the world unfold. A werewolves lifespan was a long one and one not to be wasted. Darren walked over to the edge of the river at the top of the waterfall and stood upright. He muttered the incantation to remove the mist in the small area around him so he wouldn't get soaked. As the mist began to clear the piercing emerald eyes of Rihimos his cat were picked out. He placed his bag in the newly de-fogged clearing and pulled out his axe out of his bag to chop for firewood.
Several hours later he had the camp-site running. A stone circle encased the fire so it wouldn't spread beyond his intentions a tent had been set up against one of the trees and over the fire a late dinner was cooking in the pot. He'd kept his sword on, he seldom took it off, he felt naked whenever he had to remove it. Rihimos had padded into the tent for the night while Darren sat out under the stars keeping watch. It was one of many night in his 17 year old life and he wouldn't trade one for the world.

Pounding footsteps echoed through the forest as Audra ran through the undergrowth. Her paws thumped on the leaf colored ground and her blue colored fur shone in the dappled rays of moonlight filtering through the leafs. Freedom! She thought as the trees branches above thinned out as she approached the large cannon.
Audra had not shape shifted in a wile and it felt good to stretch her animal legs. This night she had transformed into a wolf, her favorite form.
Audra looked down over the edge of the canyon seeing a small firelight shining near the waterfalls base. A traveler? She thought to herself as she tried to pick a figure out of the mist.

Darren twisted away from the fire at hearing movement in the clearing. He knew better than to shout a greeting as it would just give away were he was so he did the clever thing. First he covered the smoke from the fire so after he stood on the edge of the clearing and faced out to the woods. Inhaling a deep breath through his nose the scents of the wild poured through him and using his keen wolf senses he was able to pick out a mixture of sense nearby. The first of which was the strong earthy smell of a wolf. He knew this was territory that belonged to others but he'd never been attacked before here. But then again he never drew his sword unless he had too.
He howled an sound that was inhuman and that could only be done by one with the force of the moon calling through his veins. It simply meant that whatever was out there was welcome if they showed themselves. Now all he could do wait for an answer or for the creature to appear.

Audra stood at the edge of the canyon the strong werewolf howl reaching her wolf ears. Her natural animal instincts took over and she howled loudly in return to the werewolf's greeting. She looked down over the canyon ridge stratigizeing a way to get to the werewolf's fireside camp.
Audra took a deep breath her muscles rippling underneath her blue fur and jumped down to the ridges below. She jumped down with the greatest of ease her paws skipping gracefully on the jutting rock faces.
As she took her final leap landing on the mist encased ground she stared looking for the mysterious firelight see saw from above. She treaded carefully, her paws landing silently on the pebbles on the ground.Should I howl for him? She thought as she walked through the mist, her blue fur getting wet and turning a dark Navy color.

The howl of the wolf reached his ears. Good so it knew he was friendly, he knew he had to help her find the camp so he removed the sheet covering the smoke of the fire and placed some of the meat he'd hunted earlier onto the fire. He hoped this would carry the scent of food and warmth and also promise of a short stay in her territory. Why did it seem like a female? Maybe because of the scent. He wasn't sure but he continued to make room in the camp. Rihimos his cat climbed up his body and sat on his shoulders. Oddly enough his cat was comfortable around wolves, his cat had always been strange but he admired its collected personality towards all things.
It wasn't long before he saw the dark navy colour of fur flashing in the night, to make sure that the wolf knew he was friendly he got down on the floor and showed his neck out towards the forest. If the wolf attacked or growled it was a warning for him to leave if it bowed its head or licked his neck it was a sign of good intentions.

Audra could smell the fresh meat being cooked over the fire through the mist, and boy did it smell good. She could also get the faint whiff of werewolf and . . . cat? She couldn't help but give a small wolfy chuckle to that. A cat and a werewolf? She teased herself with the idea.
Audra fallowed the tempting smell of meat into the mist free clearing seeing the werewolf with his neck shown she wondered why the werewolf thought he was trespassing. This land is for all people. She thought as she bent down and licked the werewolf's neck.

Darren rose from his crouched position after being given the blessing from the wolf. It was custom for him. His history meant he was always careful to whomever owned the lands and that meant the people and the creatures. Being respectful to the spirits that ruled the land (in his own opinion) meant their respect would come back to him. He sat down by the fire allowing some room for the wolf to sit with him. His cat crawled back of his shoulders to sit and lean into the fur of the wolf. Deciding he was safe enough he threw his sword and scabbard away into his tent and heard it land on the pillows with a soft 'thud'. He took the meat of the fire and laid it in a pot for the wolf to pick out of. He could tell something was different about this wolf, it had an intelligence to its being unlike other animals of the wild it had a sentient intelligence that or his senses and paranoia were throwing him off. He let himself relax as he leaned back staring back into the fire His brown skin and black hair illuminated by the fires glow.

Audra curled up close to the fire thankful for the warmth and heat it contained and looked at the bowl of meat the werewolf boy had set out for her. She grabbed a small bit out of the pot and held it between her paws and started to eat, the savory flavors amplified by her wolf state.
Audra enjoyed the quiet as she daintily (as daintily as a wolf can) ate the meat she had been given. It was nice to not have to make awkward small talk but it a small thought continued to nag at her. Should I change back in front of him? She pondered this as she looked up into the night sky the diamond studded stars twinkling quietly in the dark sea that was the night.

Darren could see the thought on the wolf's face (well as much as anyone could tell) so he decided to take a gamble. He got up and walked back to his tent and grabbed a faded blue poncho a green vest and faded blue leather trousers. He came back and lay them out in front of the wolf. He could see the flicker of confusion at what he was doing on the wolf's face. He nodded to the wolf and pointed to himself then the tent. He walked inside the tent and Rihimos followed him. If he was right he may have found another traveller, if not the worst that could happen would be that the wolf would rip and tear his best clothes and he'd have to hunt again to make new ones. He fell onto his bed waiting to see if he'd get the reaction he'd expect or if he was going to be a complete fool again.

Audra was slightly confused when she saw the man walk into his tent and bring out some clothing and lay it in front of her. He made the sign language that he was going into the tent and she couldn't help but give a small smile. Is it that easy to tell I'm not a wolf? She asked herself as she watched the werewolf walk into his tent, his little cat fallowing promptly behind.
Audra took a deep breath concentrating on her human form slowly letting go of her wolf self. The transformation was quick and painless and she quickly put on the clothing the man had offered her and let out a sigh as she stretched and sat back down. She watched the fire filicker quietly as she waited for the werewolf to emerge from out of the tent.

Making sure enough time had elapsed so that he could be completely sure if the wolf was human he gathered his sword and put it onto his back again and grabbed more of his food for either way. He stepped back out into the clearing the fire flashed in his eyes temporarily blinding him eventually it passed and in front of him stood a woman no older than him. He couldn't help but grin at his insight and guess to what the wolf was. Darren assessed the woman in his head. She seemed like someone who could handle herself in trouble but at the same time almost appear harmless if the situation demanded. A fellow traveller maybe? Or a native of the Wastes? Either way he'd been alone for awhile and could use the company. He muttered a few lines of the movement spells and two logs slid around the fire facing opposite each other.
"Well, I assume introductions are in order. Unless you want to go back to being a wolf? I am Darren." He nodded to her as he finished in the form of a small bow.

Audra turned her head away from the fire and looked up at the werewolf. The firelight flickered behind her illuminateing her dark blue hair as she smiled up at the man. Audra noted the movement of the logs around the fire. Spellcaster? She thought to herself quietly as she stood up to greet the man.
"I'm Audra Negron, nice to meet ya." She said extending her hand to the werewolf. "Thank you for the cloathing." She said smileing politely. "They are very comfy."

Darren had all sorts of questions floating around in his head. Who was she here? Why was she out here? And most mind numbingly what was she? though it seemed obvious he'd seen much in his 17 year old life hardly a man in his mind but nor a boy. He hadn't gotten his right of passage from his parents so he was not officially in man. "Thank you for the clothing She said smileing politely. "They are very comfy." He woman said after introducing herself.
"Your welcome, I want you to know that if you've know were to stay tonight you may camp here. I have a second tent in my pack for any visitors that come astray." Darren passed her one of the forks from his pack so she'd have something more civilized to eat with. Taking out his own utensils, he began to bite into the soft meat from his plate.

Audra took the fork thanking the man and sat on the log that had been placed around the fire. She picked up the pot she had been eating out of earlier and stabbed the remaining pieces of meat lazily with her fork. "Thank you for the food, but I don't think I will spend the night out here." She said with a small smile as she watched the flames leap up into the sky. Although . . . She thought to herself wondering how long it had been since she had spent a night out in the wilderness. Eh, I won't cause him the trouble . . .
"So I'm guessing explanation time?" She asked as swirled the meat on her fork around the pot.

Darren felt his respect for Audra go up. She was straight to the point but polite in her mannerisms. It'd been awhile since he'd last met a person like this and he still enjoyed the experience.
"So I'm guessing explanation time?" She said to him.
Darren thought for a moment he was not one to pry into others business but he was curious of this woman.
"Your history is you own and only if you wish to share it, otherwise I'm happy knowing I've provided sanctuary or comfort for another person of the wild"
Darren was no stranger to people and their secrets and even in his short life he knew much about quite a few people but never shared the information unless they told him he could. It was in his honour as a person of the road and he'd keep to it. He was happy if Audra wanted to keep her secrets but if she wanted to tell him then she could.

Audra was happy to see the man wasn't going to pry her about her past but she felt that she needed to tell the man. It would be rude, she thought, to have come to take this mans food and clothing and not give a rational explanation of why she was wondering about in the night.
"I decided to shape-shift," Audra said figuring that would cover the fact that she just changed from being a wolf into a human. "And just wander around a bit, like old times." She continued remembering when she was younger how she had treaded through these woods on her own trying to find her place. "Then I found ya." Audra finished looking up with a small smile.

Vince had seen the fire a way off, and, never one to miss out on cadging food, decided to take a peek. A chap and chapette, judging from the voices, perhaps out on a romantic whatsamajig, though no point in jumping to conlusions. He held his pipe rifle somewhat warily, though far from threateningly and walzed into the clearing with a characteristic walk which said to anyone watching 'I am a complete tit, and don't I know it?'. "Wotcher, all," He said, grinning like a cat in a dairy.

"I decided to shape-shift, and just wander around a bit, like old times."Then I found ya." Audra finished looking up with a small smile.
Darren nodded while she talked about how the events led up to what happened tonight. So it seemed she was a shape-shifter not a werewolf but a shifter. Somewhat disappointed that she wasn't like him, but still she was a child of the wilderness as was he pleased with that fact. It wasn't long after they'd tucked into their meal and silence began to fill the empty air once again that a rustling of the bushes and flora near by signalled movement. Soon a man burst through the ankle deep fog outside of the perimeter from the bushes stood in the clearing as well and stepped into the campsite.
"Wotcher, all," The man said, grinning like a cat in a dairy.
What went through Darren's mind at the moment was a phrase that'd he'd adopted in many other situations... What the hell.

"Uhhh . . . hi?" She said to the strange man who just walked into Darren's camp site with a pipe rifle in his hand. She was very confused to see another man out in the wild, mabey he was from Zationia or Navalen. Mabey it is getting bad out there or something. She thought to herself as she watched the man curiously.
If he points that gun the wrong way. . . She thought a small blue spark arching from her fingers. He is not gonna like what I have in store.

Darren was confused but humoured by the appearance of the man. He looked like a traveller who'd taken a few wrong turns in his life. The gun on his back looked hand-made and completely worn down but it looked usable. All in all, not a bad scrap of a person. He thought about the man and him being in the woods at this time without any companions. It wasn't safe for anyone to travel alone, though he was being hypocritical, he himself wasn't human and the man who arrived hand't proved he was anything but. Sighing to himself at the loss of the quite and small company.
"Sir if you would like there is more than enough room for you to stay here as well I have a third tent ready in case of emergencies or unexpected guests." He kept his voice completely neutral. "I can set up the tent if you would like?"
Darren got up to greet the man but not before noticing Audra's black and blue tinted hair. It was the first time since he met her that he really looked at her. She was curvy in the right places and as he noticed, non too prying. He noticed that she was pretty good looking as well and very eloquent with her words. He felt himself redden in the face and turned to greet the man once again.
"I'm Darren, pleasure to meet you...?"
