Vince thrust out a hand which would've reunited the world with it's blind friendliness. "Vince O'Reilley!" He said, grinning even harder, had that been possible "And any help you could provide would be most well recieved," Well, it wasn't true scrounging. After all, Darren had offered it, and Vince wouldn't look a gift horse in the mouth until he brushed it's tonsils.

Audra looked up from the pot in her hand watching Darren get up and walk over to great the man, but not without shareing a gaze at her. He turned around redfaced to great the man a ping of embaressment ringing in his voice. She smiled a little looking over at the hiper active newcomer her bare feet making little cicles in the dirt as she gazed at the man.
"Well hello, Vincent." Audra said to the man smileing, her gaze falling more on Darren then Vincent. Am I growing fond of this man? She asked herself the little smile on her face widening. Time will tell.

Darren still feeling a little dazed and light headed from his thoughts about Audra began to ramble on to himself. He was muttering under his breath about her to himself maybe loud enough that she probably heard the mention of her name on the wind. Digging through his pack in his tent he pulled out the leather tent and iron pickets he'd made last week. The leather still smelt fresh though he was sure that that Vince wouldn't mind. Still feeling oddly contented at speaking with Audra he began to set up the tent...
It wasn't long before he had all three tents encircling the campfire though he'd forgot about Rihimos, the cat jumped into one of the tents as something caught its eye. It wasn't long before Audra's tent was in pieces. Wide eyed and in shock he grabbed Rihimos by the scruff of its black fur and told it to sit outside of his tent. The cat glared at him reminding him it was only here by friendship, but Darren growled back to tell it that he would only provide for it if it was well behaved.
He turned back to Audra slightly disappointed at failing her, but unsure to why he felt like that.
"I'm sorry Audra but it seems that Rihimos has ruined your tent... I uh don't know were you can sleep now I'm really sorry." The words left his mouth before he could take them back. "I've plenty of room in my tent though or you can have it and I'll sleep outside."
Darren thought about what he just said. Oh crap she going to think he's only here for perverse reasons. He reddened in the face again, his boyish side showing through.
"I'm gonna take a walk..." He left the campsite for the woods.

Audra stayed sitting by the camp fire as Darren sat up his tents for his unexpected guests. She smiled as she smelled the fresh sent of leather waft through the air. She could remember the old times when she wandered alone through the forests, hunting and sleeping when she wanted. The only downfall was how lonely she had gotten to be in the wild. I wonder if that is how Darren feels? Audra thought as she tapped on the pot in her hands watching Darren finish setting up the tents.
It seemed just as he finished his little cat decided to attack one of the tents and rip it to pieces. Sadly it figures that it would be her tent that was maimed by the werewolf loving cat.
"I'm sorry Audra but it seems that Rihimos has ruined your tent... I uh don't know were you can sleep now I'm really sorry. I've plenty of room in my tent though or you can have it and I'll sleep outside." Darren said instantly blushing.
"No, its fine I wouldn't mind sleeping outside." Audra said, it wasn't like it was raining or snowing and she hadn't slept under the stars for a long wile. She watched as the werewolf walked out mumbling under his breath he was going for a walk.
Audra frowned wanting to fallow Darren but wondering if she should leave Vince in the camp all alone. I don't want him to steal any of Darren's stuff. She thought wondering what kind of man this guy was. Looking over at the cat who had just clawed her tent she whispered as she set down the pot in her lap setting it on the ground for the cat to finish. "If that guy over there dose anythin' stupid claw out his eyes and come and find us." Audra said getting up and fallowing Darren's figure into the woods.

Darren pushed his way through the tress shattering branches and barks alike in the undergrowth. He never displayed is werewolf heritage, he tried to keep it in control. But now he just wanted to let loose. Forgetting to change out of his clothes he felt his muscles bend and contort, his face shift into a muzzle and finally before it became to much his spine arched forcing him to the ground. He concentrated on getting through it. Changing quickly for a werewolf was painful and Darren had just done it in under a minute.
The cool air blue against his grey bristling fur. The scents of the wild greeted him like old friends that have not seen each other for lifetimes. He could feel the body of the forest wrapped around him like some cool blanket the kind a mother would throw on her child to keep it warm. He wasn't Darren any more, he was free of his earthly body. His wolf self couldn't see why he didn't let himself loose control like this more often. He arched his back and stretched his new muscles but as he heard the foot steps of a new arrival he began to turn.
----------------------------
Rihimos sat and looked at the stranger, he was dressed baggy in his appearance like his master Darren but more unkempt. The other female Audra had given him orders to claw the man's eyes out if he stole anything. What Audra may not have realised and Darren not completely (even though they'd been together over 13 years) was that he himself was not an ordinary cat. Maybe one day he'd see that. Until them Rihimos sat curled up at the fire and gazed straight at the man called Vince watching him.

Audra walked blindly through the misted forest her feet snaping the twigs on the forest floor. She couldn't see where Darren had gone . . . she had lost his figure in the dense fog. " Darren?" She called looking though the dark wondering silently if she would have better luck changeing and trying to smell him out as a wolf. "Darren? Where did you go?" She asked into the empty woodlands, not expecting an answer.
Audra sighed a little stopping at the base of a large oak seeing some tattered cloathing laying on the ground. Isn't this what Darren was wareing? Audra asked herself picking up one of the peices and holding it in her hand. " Where did he go?"

He pressed his nose to the ground sniffing for the foreign scent.. It was familiar yet unfamiliar, he pressed lifted his nose slightly off the ground and began to track. The wolves other self called Darren hit him It's Audra, but I never told her I was a werewolf. She doesn't know. The wolf took this into consideration. If the woman didn't recognise him she may attack or mistake him for a common wolf. The wolf continued to follow the trail until he saw the woman in the clearing "Darren?Darren? Where did you go?" The wolf and Darren longed to call out to her to reassure her that they were ok, but the threat of danger still hung in the air. Acting cautiously the wolf poked its nose and head through one of the bushes and slowly stepped toward to Audra.

Audra leaned agenst the tree wondering what she was going to do. I could change into a wolf and sniff him-- The thought was interupted by the movement of a bush. "Darren is that you?" She asked looking around the tree trunk for the mans figure. "Darren?" She said as she saw the bushes moveing again only to see a gray wolf pop out.
Audra sighed a little and stared at the creature. It wasn't like a lone wolf was one to scare her, she had encountered far worse."False alarm." She wispered to herself as she leaned agenst the trunk of the tree timidly watching the wolf makeing sure it wasn't looking for a easy meal.

Vince walked awkwardly, as you would with as much of someone else's belongings on you back as you could fit in a hessian sack. Long experience had taught him that, when a couple ran off into the woods, they generally wouldn't come back for a while, and well, the camp was as good as abandoned...Well, except for the cat, but that particular escapade wasn't for repeating. Not until his leg healed. He saw the Audrey, or whatever her name had been, leaning against a tree trunk and stopped. Then he noticed the wolf. |Right, he thought, no one panic, we can handle this. Can't have wild, crazy animals worrying us. He unslung the rifle and dropped a bullet (a 9mm parabellum, if anyone gives a toss) down the barrel and aimed through the bent coat hanger which served as a sight. Say g'dnight, you lupine little bastard. The shot wasn't loud, as these things go, but it was fast, you could give it that.

Darren gazed at Audra through his wolfish eyes. He was regaining control again and understood what he was doing. It seemed that that Audra didn't recognise him. Which was relieving and dissapointing at the same time. He was unsure of himself. He whined a little to show he was friendly and began to slowly move towards her with his head down as a show of submissiveness. His ears twitched as he moved towards her. It started as a whistle in the air and came toward him with blinding speed. He had little time to react. He rolled straight under the bullet but unforuntately it cut through the underbelly of his wolf self. It missed his vital organs but still allowed him to keep alive. The metallic sting was there however there was no burning. It seemed that silver bullets had not been used. He turned to were the bullet was fired from and saw Vince with a rucksack of the stuff from his camp and the rifle in his hands. Crap, He began to advance on Vince but the pain in his underbelly was to much and he collapsed onto the floor all but managing a growl. If he changed back he'd heal but he couldn't risk it. Vince would just run if he saw him because he had his stuff. There was only one way to find out. He began to feel his muscles rearrange themselves back into human stature...

Audra watched the wolf approach slowly with a wine, his head lowered as he creaped forward. Leaning away from the tree she tried to examine the wolf closer when suddenly she herd the gun fire and watched the gray colored wolf roll, the bullet cutting through its soft underbelly. Tracing the line of fire she looked to see Vince with his gun held pointing at the wolf, and a sack of Darren's things on her back.
Audra stood there starring at Vince, hearing the growl of the wolf on the ground. Dark blue sparks ached from her hands as she stared the thief down. "You stole from the wrong person." She stated menacingly as she ran forward jumping over a log and changing into a wolf mid leap, shredding her gifted clothing but those thought were far from her mind as she ran to wards the man dark sparks of lightning aching from her paws as she plowed though the undergrowth.

"Shite," Vince dropped the sack (He could run faster without it, and anyway, there were plenty more places to steal from) and held his rifle by the stock. He waited until he could see the spit on the wolf's muzzle and swung the gun, nails out. Well, he'd fought bears with it, at any rate, however unsuccessfully.

Darren changed back into a human, the last remenants of the aches from his change began to change. His clothing shredded and torn from the first change was barley covering him. He watched as Audra charged at Vince her hand crackling with blue lightining. She has other powers? She changed into a wolf in mid air and began to charge Vince. Vince had his gun with nails out.
"We took you in! Offered you shelter for the night! This is how you repay us?" He was panting heavily. "I'll show you not to mess with a lupine child of the moon.!"
He grabbed his sword on the floor and ripped it out its sheath. The steel forged from his fathers hunting knife glistened in the moonlight, the bone cross guard made from his ancestors was even whiter in the night and the ruby set into the pommel of the sword began to glow a violent red. Concentrating his will be began to utter a spell which would make Vince's gun heat up to over 100'C. It would atleast make him drop the gun. He hoped.

Audra felt the nails tear into her flesh and let out a yowl in pain as she skirted back and stared menacingly at Vince, blood trickling from the gashes on her face to the forest floor. Shaking her head to clear the blood from her line of site and began to circle Vince blue electricity arching from her paws. Letting out a low growl she leaped, concentrating the lightning into her paws to try to electrocute the beguiler if she landed her blow.

The lightning whirred overhead, singeing Vince's hair and causing him to leap onto his face. "Yes, yes it is how I repay your kindness," Shouted Vince through his sleeves and the hum of Darren's sword "Because I'm a pragmatist, and it's a bitch of a world out there. I was acting with common sense you wolfy wanker," At this point, the barrel, not content with being hot on it's own, decided to spread the love and set fire to the plank it was taped to. Vince yelped, leapt up and, more through accident than design, set fire to the ground immediately between him and Darren. "You absolute bastard! Do you have any idea how long it took me to find a pipe the right size?" Shouted Vince, apparently unfazed by the spreading fire.

"Yes, yes it is how I repay your kindness," Shouted Vince over the buzzing of Audrey's paws and the hum of Darren's sword "Because I'm a pragmatist, and it's a bitch of a world out there. I was acting with common sense you wolfy wanker,"
Darren watched as his gun began to smoke. And eventually it turned red hot.
"You absolute bastard! Do you have any idea how long it took me to find a pipe the right size?"
"Probably your entire life? But don't worry you won't have to worry about finding another" Darren retorted.
The flames were beginning to pick up on the grass and he didn't want Audra to get hit. Focusing once again he exerted his will on the flames making them form a semi-circle around Vince the opening of it allowing Audra to run through and attack him.
"You pick on the wrong wolf you self centred prick!" He made the flames flare into pillars so that he couldn't back away. He made a literal wall of fire and he'd pay the toll for the energy he'd spent later.

Audra saw that she had only electricuted Vince's hair but it was a start. That is what I get for not practiceing with my powers. She thought to herself as she backed out of the semi-circle of envelopeing fire and watched it colse into a cage around Vince's body and let out a wolfy chuckle. You diserve it you scum! She thought walking slowly and clapseing in under a bush.

Vince sighed. "Surely we can talk this through," He said, hopelessly "I mean, I only tried to steal your stuff." He picked up a burning stick. Quite calmly and despite the fact it was burning his hand a bit, he threw it javelin style at the bush Audrey had collapsed behind. It flared as it caught on to the shrub.

Darren collapsed the pillar of fire surrounding Vince. He muttered his final spell and ended all fires in the area. He wondered if Vince ever realised that all the fires except the heating of his gun were illusions? Grabbing his sword out of his scabbard he walked up to Vince and lifted its point at his neck.
"You may have only stole from us but it was bandits and thieves like you that led to the death of my family." He lifted the point of the blade so it forced his chin up. Darren sighed. "I won't take another persons like when they're like this. You saw and opportunity and took it. I'm going to let you live, I'm going to pretend you never came to this camp. Leave and keep your life."
Darren re-sheathed his sword into the scabbard, and stepped back from Vince. Darren may have killed before but he wouldn't start again not now not ever unless his life was in true danger.
"Leave this camp, find an easier mark, travel around and think to yourself how close you came with us to losing your life whether or not you agree."

Audra let out a yelp when she saw the bush she was laying by catch on fire. She skirted away letting out a low wine as she retreted deeper into the woods. Way to mutch excitement for one day . . . She thought as she layed down by the trunk of a tree, rubbing her paw on the bleeding gashes on her face.
