Happy Birthday (Cherry/invites)

Open to Cherry (Obviously) The player for Taeloc and as it's Cherry's character having the birthday, any invites she asks.

IC:

Jyo arrived at Taeloc's house on the day of Katrina's birthday. It had been two days since they had parted and Jyo had been eagerly waiting to see this day. Clad in his normal shirt, pants, and boots. he had donned a nice white sleeveless trench coat.

Over his shoulder was along thin package, one of Katrina's gifts, something she had asked for. In one of his coat pockets was the other gift, a nice one just to surprise her.

Walking up to the door Jyo set down the package raised his left hand and knocked, his weapon was still in his right hand. It never really left his side for the most part. He would find a place to put it during his time here, but he didn't like being separated from it outside of a small distance. He made sure to have a smile on his face for however answered the door. This promise to be a good day.

Katrina stood in front of the mirror in the guest bedroom of Taeloc's house. She didn't have her normal attire on, which made her feel quite awkward.

Taeloc insisted, before she said she had to run to the store, that Katrina should wear a dress. Katrina wasn't exactly fancy. Tank top, pants, jacket and she's got herself an outfit. But Taeloc almost forced her to wear this dress. Katrina couldn't take her whining anymore. She put on the dress when Taeloc left.

The dress was white, with 3/4 sleeves and a skirt that fanned out to her knees. With a hole cut for her tail of course. Katrina sighed as she looked in the mirror.

Then Katrina's ears twitched when she heard the knock at the door. She took a breath and continued to the front door. She put her hand on the knob and turned it to open the door.
"Jyo!" Katrina smiled when she saw who it was.

[Jyo]

Jyo was speechless for a moment as Katrina answered the door. The dress was extremely nice and looked very good on her. It was clear that she wouldn't wear it often, he had the impression that a friend had something to do with this, but that didn't take anything away from her appearance.

"Happy birthday Katrina... You look wonderful." He said. Jyo felt a little under dressed now. he had the feeling that her appearance had been last minute. He was glad he made sure to have his clothes at least washed and had put on the nice coat.

Jyo was rarely at a loss for words, but this had done it.
"So where shall I put the gift?" he asked letting his lopsided grin reappear on his face. If anything, Jyo could always recover quickly.

Katrina smiled as he spoke. He held the gift up. "Oh come in." She said, holding the door open. Once he stepped in she closed the door.
"Thank you for the gift." She thanked Jyo as she took the gift from his hands. She set it on a table near the door. She spun on her heel as she could feel the dress fan out. She brushed her bangs out of her face.
"Sorry, Taeloc isn't here." She told him. "She said she had to run to the store real quick. Thank you for coming."

[Jyo]

"So it seems we get to be alone for a while eh?" Jyo said with a grin on his face as he set his weapon down against the table by the door. Walking over to Katrina he reached into his pocket and pulled out a smaller box, the gift she had taken and set by the door was the one they had talked about when they had met. This one was just something Jyo thought she would like.

"Here, this is a gift I would actually like you to open now." He said as he held the box out. It was smaller than his palm and very light. He couldn't help but smile at thinking about what was inside of it. It took him a bit to find this one, and he felt it was appropriate.

"Yes, we will be alone for a bit, I suppose." Katrina guessed. She scratched her ear. She kinda felt embarrassed being in a dress. Especially in front of Jyo. But he had complimented her so she guessed it didn't look too bad.

She was surprised when Jyo held open a small box in his palm. "Oh." Katrina breathed when she saw it. She reached out for it, slowly. "Thank you. You really shouldn't have." She grasped the box and held it in her palm. She wondered what it was.

[Evey]

Sara walked down the street, adorned in a orange dress. She held a small package, dressed in a beautifully made bow. She a little as she reread the invite that was giving to her by Katrina. Your invited to Katrina's eighteenth birthday party. Come and join the party. She read to herself, knowing that Katrina's friend Taeloc must have wrote it.

Sara approached the small cottage where the invite said the party was to be held. She knocked on the door adorning a friendly smile on her face.

Katrina was about to open the gift when there was another knock at the door. Katrina was a little startled, she was mostly focused on the present in her hand. She kept it in her hand and walked to the door.
She opened it to find her friend, Sara Clearwater. "Sara!" She smiled. Her and the friend hugged. Katrina invited Sara in and set the present she had in her arms on the table.
"Sara I would like you to meet my friend, Jyo Mashima." Katrina smiled. "Jyo, this is my friend, Sara Clearwater."

[Jyo]

Jyo gave a chuckle and shrugged.
"I do a lot of things that I shouldn't, but I do them anyways." He said in reply. He was interested to see Katrina's reaction to the little gift he had picked up, and then there was knock on the door and Katrina went to answer it.

In walked another Neko, the second one Jyo would meet. She clearly had cat traits though. Katrina introduced her and Jyo to each other. He flashed a smile and walked over while extending his hand.
"A pleasure to meet you miss Clearwater." He said kindly.

Katrina watched as Jyo and Sara met. She remembered the small present in her hand. She looked at it and then opened it. Katrina's smile quickly turned into a grin.
Inside the box was a ring. A ring with a band of beautiful gold and a diamond on it, engraved on it was a "K".

"Oh my gosh, thank you, Jyo." Katrina grinned. "It's beautiful." She said, slipping it onto her finger. She didn't have much jewelry or accessories, so this was actually a very nice gift for her. Katrina admired the ring.

[Evey]

Sara shook Jyo's hand and gave him a nervious smile her cat ears twitching. She was a very shy and confined person and wasn't comfortable around new faces.

"Where would you like the presents?" She asked in her normal quiet voice to Katrina who was stairing at the beutiful ring that adorned her fingers. What a beutiful gift. . . She said thinking about the homemaid gift she had wrapped up in her hands.

[Jyo]

She seems a little more timid than most. I'll just make sure to be laid back as usual. Jyo thought. He himself had little problem with meeting new people and so forth, it was part of his profession. He would like to get a little time to talk with Sara, but he would let things just go at the pace she liked to have them go.

Looking back to Katrina he smiled seeing she had opened the box and found the ring inside. It hadn't been hard to find, but he did spring a little extra for the engraving.
"I'm glad you like it, I felt you should have something more... how should I put it. Lovely to match you." He said as he took her hand in his and planted a kiss on the back of it.
"It doesn't quite compare to you though." he said as he flashed a wink at her.

Katrina blushed as Jyo kissed her hand, and at his comment about the ring. She touched the ring and looked at Sara. "Oh thank you, Sara." She said looking at the gift. "Just put it on the that table." She said pointing to the table that held Jyo's present.

Katrina took the present from Sara's arms and put the present on the table. "Sara, how have you been? We haven't talked in months." She smiled, looking at her friend. "Your dress is beautiful." She complimented her, eying her orange dress.

[Evey]

Sara let Katrina take the bright package out of her hands and gave her a small smile. She felt a little distanced from Katrina with Jyo around her. I wonder when Taeloc is going to get her. Sara thought as she looked at the ground shuffleing her feet.

"Sara, how have you been? We haven't talked in months.You dress is beautiful." Katrina said smileing.

Sara looked up from the ground, "I've been good." She answered blushing a little. " Thank you, I really like your dress too." Sara looked at the frilly white dress guessing that it was Taelocs doing.

"Thank you." Katrina replied to Sara's compliment. "It was Taeloc's suggestion. Well, not really suggestion. She kinda forced me to wear it." Katrina laughed.

Katrina looked at Sara. She knew Sara was really shy. She even felt more uncomfortable probably since Jyo was there. Sara wasn't that open to new people. Katrina thought if Taeloc was here, she'd be more chatty.

Katrina sighed. "How is your job at the Memorial Theater?" Katrina asked, trying to create small talk.

[Jyo]

Jyo stood back a little as he let the two friends catch up with each other. He wasn't the type to try and be the center of attention. Katrina and Sara clearly needed this little chat for a bit, Jyo would simply let them talk between themselves for a little.

Besides, Katrina and I are going for a bit of a trip. That's a good while together, making sure we give ourselves a little breathing room before we take off would be a good idea. He thought.

[Evey]

Sara enjoyed working at the old theater. She never seemed to be as shy when she was helping people out at the theater. "I love the theater." She said with a crooked smile twisting her finger around the fabrics of her dress. Sara's dark orange ears twitched a little as she tried to think of some idea for a conversation topic.

"Uh, how have you been?" Sara asked finaly in her normal small voice as she stood waiting for a answer from her friend.

"Oh, I've been alright." Katrina shrugged, noticing Jyo taking a step back. "The sand storms have been pretty harsh the last few days. And their have been alot of artifact hunters scurrying around the forest. But other then that it's been pretty peaceful." Katrina told Sara.

Katrina hadn't noticed her bruise on her arm was being exposed. Her sleeve was starting to ride up. When she saw it, she quickly pulled the sleeve down and returned her glance to Sara.

The bruise was from a few nights ago, when a vampire attacked her. Jyo had been with her that night, luckily.

[Jyo]

Jyo noticed the bruise on Katrina's arm before she pulled the sleeve back down again. He felt bad she had gotten a little roughed up. He hadn't been alert when the vampire had attacked. He wasn't sure how much better he could have done if he had been ready, but he wasn't in a place where they had been expecting an attack. He wasn't beating himself up over it, but he couldn't help but think he could have at least saved her from a nasty fall.

"So Sara, you work in theater? What do you do there?' He asked. Jyo was a person who enjoyed a good show. he liked watching people perform as they were really expressing a part of themselves, even if it was just a small gleam of who they were, it let Jyo get to know a little bit about a complete stranger without being invasive. And that was very appealing to him. Not to mention the impressive performances he often saw.

[Neko~San]

Tealoc ran down the street, trying to get back to her house. She knew people would be arriving soon. With the cake and ice cream in hand she walked into the room.
" Hello" She greeted. Sara and Jyo were already there. Katrina was wearing the dress Tealoc had gotten her, especially for today. Even if she never wears it again, I'm happy. She smiled at everyone and walked into her kitchen.
