Jyo looked thoughtful for a few moments before grinning A glaive, I think that would suite her best for a melee weapon. She would need to be taught how to use it as well. He thought. Asking for a weapon as a gift wasn't a rare thing, he had just never personally had that asked of him. Katrina locked eyes with the elementalist and his gaze didn't waver at the bright blue orbs that locked onto his own green ones.
"Very well. I'll find something for you." Jyo wasn't exactly sure how he would procure the weapon, but a little scouring about shouldn't cause him too much of a fuss, he would treat it like a treasure hunt.
The lopsided grin returned as he took a step closer. "So do i need to find something nice to wear to the party?" He asked as he kept their gazes locked. Another surge crackled around him as he stepped forward.

"No, no need." Katrina told him on his apparel. He took a step toward her. She wanted to step back, but kept her position. "It's not like the party is going to be huge and fancy. It's just small and some of my friends, and people Taeloc probably gathered up." She chuckled. "But you don't have to wear anything special." Katrina repeated. Katrina couldn't help but stare at his eyes. The bright green color was like a magnet to her.

Jyo gave a nod. "Alright then, just a nice coat, I've wanted an excuse to wear it." He said keeping the grin in place. He had quickly come to like the young woman standing before him. Granted this was likely due to the fact he had little to no contact with people outside of work, but she was also very easy to talk with, and seemed to share his good nature. he now really hoped she would never see him when he did his work. He was a different person then, and he wasn't ashamed of it, but he didn't like the idea of her seeing that part of him.
"So when we eventually head down, would you mind if I accompanied you on your way to wherever you are heading?" He asked. Jyo made it clear with the word 'eventually' that he was happy to stay up here for a while, but he did like the idea of taking a walk with Katrina.

"I wouldn't mind." Katrina smiled. "I'd be happy if accompanied me." She had to get going soon. She promised Taeloc she would be there by early morning. Taeloc was very caring and would probably freak if she didn't show. But having Jyo with her would make her feel alot safer. She was never happy about traveling alone. She broke her gaze from his eyes to look out on the water. Only the moonlight casted a glow on it. The moon was low in the sky...it would soon be dawn. And she would have to get going.

Jyo gave a wide smile. "Then it will be my privilege to accompany you." he said with obvious pleasure. He wouldn't have felt right just leaving her to walk alone as it was. She didn't seem weak, it was just a sense of chivalry and politeness ingrained in him. His parents had taught him that just because he was a warrior, didn't mean he couldn't be a gentleman as well.
He followed her gaze and looked out over the water with the moon's reflection. "Beautiful." he said softly as he looked back over at Katrina. As far as he was concerned this had been an excellent night so far. Being alone allowed him to thin, but he was normally alone during these last two years, getting to be around Katrina was going to make it hard to enjoy the isolation he lived in, but on the same token, he would have someone to keep an eye out for as she traveled as well.

"Yes, it is." Commenting on Jyo's comment of the moonlight. She took another gaze at it. She had always loved the nighttime. The moon and the stars. "And thank for your offer to walk with me." She added, looking back at him. Jyo was such a gentleman. "well, I guess we better start walking." Katrina told him. "Taeloc will be furious if I'm not there when she wakes up." Katrina told him.

Jyo sighed. "Yes, I guess it's about that time." He said. He was glad that Katrina mentioned she would be going to her friend's home. He would know where to show up for the party. Stepping next to Katrina and holding out his left arm for her, Jyo would wait to see if she would accept the gesture and slip her arms around his.
Either way, he would then start walking with her down the steps of the lighthouse. He hoped that the walk would take a little while. He was enjoying himself and wasn't sure where he was going to go after he walked Katrina to her destination. likely back up her to the lighthouse. He had been very comfortable there.

Katrina looked at his arm for a second then slipped her arm into his, to be polite, and because she wanted to. His body was warm. Warmer than his jacket had been. She followed his feet as she swiftly went down the steps. They reached the dock that the lighthouse sits near. Katrina directed him left toward the village. Jyo walked quickly, it forced Katrina to keep up. "So," Katrina started, trying to keep up the conversation. "Is your family still alive? Do you visit them?"

Jyo noticed Katrina had to make a slight effort to keep up with him. he slowed his pace as he had forgotten that his long legs carried him quite quickly even when walking. He enjoyed having her next to him. He didn't often get to have something like this happen. A slight surge arched across Jyo once more.
Then she asked about his family. He gave a nod in response. "Yeah, they are back home right now. That's the main reason I even return home." He replied. Jyo remembered what she had said about her parents leaving her for dead. His eyes narrowed a bit at the thought, such an act was unforgivable after all, but Katrina seemed to have worked with it pretty well. So he would leave the matter alone.
"Well let me hear about what you are. i don't meet many people that aren't fully human. I've never met a Neko, so I'm extremely curious." He said. Jyo wanted to know as much about Katrina as she would tell him. After all, he would answer most questions she sent his way.

"Well, being a Neko isn't that much of a challenge." She told him. "I am half hyena as I told you...I have very good reflexes, I land on my feet a good percent of the time, and of course i have a tail and ears. And that annoying laugh I've gotten under control." She added. Her spirits sunk for a second thinking about how her race and her parents She quickly brushed the memory out of her head. "Other than that, the rest of me is human." She ended. "Well," she thought. "I do have a taste for meat because of my feline side." She added. They had made it to the middle of the dock. The village was still far away.

"Intriguing. It sounds like we both don't differ from humans very much. I tend to have enhanced speed and lightning based powers as an elementalist. I don't get to meet many of my own race." He replied. Jyo didn't know much about his race except for the traits it carried.
Jyo looked down at Katrina as they walked. Despite what sounded like a hard life, she seemed to have a wonderful disposition. "You you mentioned you spend a lot of time in the waste. Do you wander all over in that area, or is there a place I can look for you when I'm in that area?" He asked letting a smile creep onto his face.

Katrina looked up at Jyo as she spoke. "Well, I mostly stay in the forest. The trees provide shelter for me and there is plenty of food. So that would be the best place to find me. Sometimes I have to go to the Outlanders City to make some money. Nasty people there. And sometimes, not often, I venture out to the desert. I hardly ever go to the waterfall canyon and the mountains are not a friendly place to go. I tend to stay away from there." Katrina explained. They had made it to town. Taeloc's house was in the south end of the village.

"I haven't had my work take me to Outlander City. I have heard about how rough it is though. I do happen to know my way around the forest pretty well." Jyo replied. Often times he had stayed in the forest when traveling about. He hadn't run into any while there, but that didn't mean much, he had been there to disappear for a while, and if Jyo didn't want to be found, it was easy enough for him to accomplish.
Once more he looked down at Katrina with a fond glint in his eyes. "So when do you head back out?" He asked. Jyo figured if he didn't have work at the time, he could travel with her a bit. He would likely stay for a few hours, but when they reached Katrina's destination, it wouldn't be for long before he moved on again. Jyo was typically a loner when traveling, but a bit of company every now and again wasn't a bad thing.

"Well, I wanted to leave a day after the party." Katrina told him. "I actually don't like the city. I am too used to the forest and wilderness. The smell of the city annoys me. I much rather be in the Waste...but I don't want Taeloc and other friends to waste money to visit me in the waste. And since I can fly I waste no money getting here and back." Katrina explained. "Where do you prefer?" Katrina asked, staring up at him.

Jyo thought for a few moments. He was really comfortable in both the city and the woods. He was highly adaptable to where he was at any given time. Though if he had the make a choice he would likely be out in the wilderness. He enjoyed the peace in the natural world in comparison o the city.
"I would say anywhere in the wilderness. I don't care for the hustle and bustle of a city. There is a serenity outside of city life that's appealing." He replied. Jyo doubted that it would waste much of his time to accompany Katrina. He could travel quickly across the lands, and this last job had paid well enough that he would have to worry about finances for a while to come. "So how about I travel with you when you leave? I didn't ave a destination before, so having somewhere to go to would be a nice thing, and having your company would be very nice." He said.

Katrina thought about his gracious offer he had just asked. It would be nice to have some one to talk to on the way back to the Waste. "I wouldn't mind if you joined me. You would be nice to have around." She said with a grin. She was blushing, but tried to hide it. She looked back at Jyo and smiled.

Jyo smiled as he didn't miss the blush Katrina had gained. He knew he had that effect, several of the girls back at home acted the same way around him. Jyo always saw flirting and charming a girl as good sport. Harmless and fun to do.
But he also had quickly started to genuinely like Katrina in the short time he had gotten to know a little bit about her. He felt the only thing that might have been a problem was the fact he couldn't fly, he was pretty sure that would slow her down a bit. But with company that was likely to be a good thing.
"Well thank you for accepting my offer, I have the feeling we have a pleasant trip ahead of us." Jyo said with a wider grin on his face. The sky was getting lighter now, the dull grey that signaled the coming of the sun. he was glad the he was going to share a sunrise with the young lady at his side.

Katrina enjoyed the thought of the journey ahead. She smiled and looked at the town ahead of her. They came to a cross road, Katrina shifted her weight to the right as Jyo followed her lead. Her ears suddenly twitched as she heard something move in the ally.

Diva skidded out of the ally To many people! she thought to herself. I haven't fed in 3 days. she whined to herself. She really didn't want to but she lunged for the girl because the boy seemed too electric for her taste. The girl's gaze met hers, but by that time, Diva had already pinned her to the ground.

Hearing movement from the ally next to them, Jyo barely had time to react before Katrina was tackled from him. Narrowing his eyes, the young elementalist's left hand grabbed the handle of the sword and he came in for the attack with movements so fast he left a blur behind him.
He would slam the weapon into the side of the person attacking Katrina while it as still in the sheath. Jyo counted on his speed and the fact their attacker was focused on Katrina to help him deliver the hit. If it hit Jyo would have knocked the attacker away before stepping between them and Katrina while drawing the sword. His eyes were narrowed and the lightning started to constantly crackle around his body as he readied for combat.
