Katrina felt something tackle her as her strong muscles held her down to the road. She didn't have time to react. If she did, she would have flown out of the way.
She only hoped Jyo could get rid of her somehow. She tried to get her legs up to kick her off, but she couldn't.

Diva noticed right before she drank that the boy's pulse had gotten quicker.
Damn he's going to protect her.Diva swore to herself.
She jumped off the girl and put a ten foot difference between them in a matter of seconds.
"Sorry!I'm a little hungry as you can see.I don't mean you any trouble!" Diva rushed out an apology as quick as she could>
Stupid vampire! she repremanded herself.

Jyo didn't take his eyes off the Vampire, though he didn't strike he kept the weapon out and kept himself between this bloodsucker and Katrina.
"You should have chosen your prey a little more carefully then." Jyo said with an icy edge to his voice that hadn't been there before. The bolts arching around his body became more intense and started gathering at his sword. The person in front of him still hadn't given him a reason to put the weapon away or even halt.
He risked a quick glance back at Katrina to make sure she was alright. If not, well this vampire standing there was about to have a very unpleasant night.

Katrina backed away from where Jyo stood, facing the vampire. She looked down at her left arm and saw a huge bruise on it. Jyo's jacket was torn where it was hit. Probably from the vampire's tackle. She rubbed it, as it stung with her touch.
She scooted away and rested against a building. She watched as electrical surges raced around Jyo and the vampire stood there.

If I don't do something quick it's going to get ugly and I don't have the strength to fight!Diva remided herself.
All of the sudden Diva smelled fresh blood.She came up from her crouching stance as quick as lightning.It was coming from about fifty feet back.
Diva turned her back and covered the distance between her and the smell before the boy attacked.
It was a dead body.She was so happy she almost cried
"Now I don't have to kill anyone!" She muttered to herself.
She jumped the body and began to drink.

Jyo noticed the flash of movement as the vampire darted to a corpse, he almost went after it, but his priority was Katrina. Sheathing his weapon Jyo went over to Katrina.
"Come on, we should take this chance to leave." He said softly as he put an arm around her shoulders.
He would keep a wary eye on Diva as they started walking away. Just because she found a food source after giving an apology didn't make her safe to ignore. She may still just be waiting for a chance to strike. But if she was being sincere, than Jyo was planning for a live and let live situation.

Jyo helped Katrina up. "Thanks." She told him. She let go of his arm and examined the bruise on her arm. She had many bruises, but this one had to be the worst. It stung when she touched it. "Sorry about your jacket." Katrina told him, showing him the rip in the arm.
She put her arm down and tried to ignore it. It would be hard hiding it from Taeloc. She took a deep breath and continued to walk down the road, arm and arm with Jyo.
"She came out of nowhere." Katrina added. She rubbed her neck from when it slammed on the pavement.

Diva had quickly drank her fill.She glanced up to make sure she wasn't being attacked or worse being watched.She noticed that they were walking away as if nothing had happened, execept the girl who had a tear in her jacket.
I can't let them leave thinking I'm a monster.Diva told herself
She stood up in a regular human pace and began to follow them with a regular human pace even though it killed her.
"I ..I didn't mean to hurt you." she stammered.

Jyo looked over Katrina, a few bruises, but she seemed fine for the most part.
"Don't worry about the jacket, I can get it fixed." He said before hearing footsteps. He saw Diva standing there and tensed. Diva once more made the claim of not intending to harm them. Jyo figured he would give her a chance. He would simply stay alert.
"Fine then, we get it." Jyo said. He would normally say to just drop the situation altogether, but he wasn't he one who had been attacked. Keeping Katrina close by he simply waited for her response. If she wanted to talk, they would talk. If she wanted to leave, then that's what they would do.

Katrina was surprised by the vampire. She took two quick steps behind Jyo. She wasn't risking it. Her heart started to race again as her tail stiffened.
The bruise wasn't hurting as much. Maybe it was just the shock. She kept rubbing her neck though. Pulling her hair over her hand. She kept sneaking a glance at the vampire.
She didn't' want to be afraid, but she had never been attacked by a vampire. Luckily Jyo was there or she would probably be vampire meat.

"Great!Just flipp'n great!The girl is scared of me!"Diva said to herself."I'm really am sorry, but okay it's like this I haven't eaten in three days, my rent is overdue, the theater doesn't know a good actor even if one came up and bit them in the ass, and to add gasoline to the fire I haven't seen my friend Saya in about a month and I'm pretty sure she's dead!" Diva blurted out in anger and exhaustion.
"Oh ,and just because I'm feeling generous I'll give you a tip, don't go in this alley because some psycho vamps have been feeding in this area.The body I found was from another vamp that saw buddy boy over there and got scared and left."Diva added in sincerity and a touch of anger left over from the outburst.

Jyo noticed Katrina get behind him, and he couldn't blame her. She had a nasty surprise after all. Staying where he was he let Diva vent out her issues, it seemed she had a lot to deal with.
"Well I am sorry that you seem to have a lot on your plate right now, but you can hardly blame the young lady for being scared.
He gave a small smile.
"Thank you for the tip. I'll keep an eye out for your friend if you describe her to me." He added. The vampire clearly wanted to make amends, Jyo had the knack of seeing sincerity.
"I doubt you'll get much out of her though." Jyo said as he looked back at Katrina.
"Don't worry, I'm not letting anything happen to you." He said softly before looking back to Diva.

Katrina smiled when he looked back at her. She knew his comment was sincere. The last time he got out his sword in a nanosecond.
She stepped over to the side a little to get a better look at Diva.She wasn't that anxious to talk to her, though. She heard what Diva had said about her problems and felt sorry for her...but wasn't exactly gonna say it to her. She rather stay back.
Her tail swung in relief. She sighed and her shoulders shrugged. She put her hands in the pockets of Jyo's jacket and watched the vampire.

Diva sized the girl up.She could swear she knew her from somewhere.
"Fine I'm okay with you not blabbing on and on but you could at least tell me if your hurt or not.There is a shop around here that sells really good medicine though it's kinda expensive."Diva added with a slightly frustrated tone.
Diva turned to the boy and said,"My friend is of medium height and build with short brown almost black hair.If you see her don't confront her. If you do well ,she can be very, how do I say this while still being polite, extremely sarcastic."Diva added with a grin.

Jyo knew that Katrina wasn't actually hurt. The minimal damage she took probably didn't feel good, but with some rest she would likely be fine. Jyo would simply let her speak for herself though.
As for the info on Diva's friend, all Jyo could do was give a nod.
"I'll keep that in mind." He said in response to the warning. Jyo wasn't interested in confronting Diva's friend. He simply wanted to make sure Katrina got home safe now.

Katrina saw the bruise and looked at the vampire. "I'm fine." She said quietly. "Just a bruise." She had shaken it off by then, bruises weren't a huge problem with her.
She rubbed her arms in impatience. She just wanted her to leave so she could continue with Jyo to Taeloc's house. She shifted her weight and bit her lip. Can't she just leave already? Katrina thought to herself.

Faster than a mere human could track at least. Jyo could tell the direction she took, but it still took quite a bit of effort to even track the woman. Lightning crackled over his body as he stood there and wondered what a battle would have been like if they had been drawn into one. He decided to simply not think about that right now. He was preoccupied as it was.
Looking back to Katrina.
"Well at least the night wasn't boring." He said trying to be comforting as he gave a warm smile.
"Shall we continue?" He asked as he once more held out his arm. He hoped Katrina wasn't too shaken by this.

Katrina smiled as he smiled at her. As he stuck out his arm, Katrina didn't hesitate and slipped hers in. They continued to walk they way they were before the vampire came into the picture.
Katrina still rubbed her neck. It was really bothering her for some odd reason. The attack had shocked her quite a bit. She usually knows when someone was going to pounce on her and she got out of the way. But vampires were different. They are faster and stronger than she would ever be. She was just happy that the vampire left.
"Thank you again for saving me." She told Jyo. She thought she couldn't thank him enough. That vampire would have killed her. At least Jyo was there to scare her off. He would have done more, Katrina thought, if the vampire hadn't left. She knew from the sharp edge in his voice and the bolts flashing around his body.

Jyo gave a smile.
"No need for thanks, though you are welcome. Granted I don't think I could have lived with myself if I didn't do anything." He replied as they walked. Jyo didn't even think when he had drawn the weapon and stepped between the Vampire and Katrina. It had been instinct.
He didn't fail to notice that Katrina was still rubbing her neck. He never got much of a chance to assess her injuries, he had only seen the bruises.
"Is your neck still hurting?" He asked. He was slightly concerned, a neck injury wasn't anything to simply ignore.
