Echo James walked down a row of shelves with a pile of book stacked in her arms. As the head librarian she always had work to do.
She climbed one of the ladders slowly and carefully in her high heels. She shoved the books into their proper place. She only had a few left. She made her way down the ladder and one book caught her eye.
The book had an old cover on it, ripped and torn. It was dark brown with gold writing and gilded pages. "The James Family" it read on the cover.
Echo was startled when someone tapped her on the shoulder.

Zeke walked lazily through the library, traceing his fingers down the rows of books. Although he was a great sailer and a great mechanic when it came to his boat he needed some help on this Navalen windsailer. "Hello?" He said in a quiet voice pearing down the rows of shelfs trying to find a librarian or anyone who could lead him in the right direction of the section her was searching for.
Zeke stopped suddenly as he saw a woman climbing down a ladder putting away books. Finaly. He thought to himself aproching the woman from behind and tapping her on the shoulder with a smile on her face.

The tap on the shoulder startled Echo and the books went flying out of her arms. The books fell to the floor and Echo quickly turned on her heel. "Hello," She breathed. She crouched down and started to pick up the books. She looked up at the man. "Can I help you?"

Zeke crounched down and tried to help the lady pick up the fallen books. "I'm sorry for startleing you miss." He said handing the fallen books to the woman with a crooked smile on his face.
"Could you help me find a section on windsailers?" Zeke asked standing up, his ponnytail bobbing a little as he did so.

"Of course," She told him, a blank expression on her face. "Follow me." She had the books in her hands as she stomped out of the row and into the main hall. The old texture of the library has always been calming to her. Royal red carpet and the hardwood always reminded her of her old home. Before her parents died.
She walked into a row and walked over and pushed a ladder away form a section of books. "Here is the windsailers section. Books, catalogs, anything you need. Zationian and Navalen windsailers." She added.
Echo walked out of the row. Paying no attention to the man. Something out the window caught her eye. She pulled back the curtain and looked out into the Inner City of Zationia.

"Thank you?" Zeke said noticeing the woman walking away, completly ignoring him. "Hmph. . . Someones got there panties in a bunch." He comented to himself as he slowly gazed at the colection of books. "Navalin . . ." He wispered to himself as his ruff hands tutched the bindings of the books. With a small sigh he pulled out one that looked like it involved some of the mechanics of Navalin style sailers.
Zeke walked up to the counter with a contagous smile on his face and pulled out his wallet. His large fingers searching for his library card. He found it and pulled out the peice of plastic and rang the little bell on the counter waiting for someone to ring up his book.

Echo watched as she could feel something bad happening. Suddenly, Echo watched hundreds of Navalen raiders run through the Inner Walls. "Oh no." She breathed. The Inner Wall guards were ambushed, and some of them were trying to fight them off, but the raiders were giving up a pretty good fight.
Echo stared through the window as the Navalens started to scatter. She was afraid they might come in the library. She heard the small ding of the bell. She raced back to the counter and went behind it. "Go! You have to hide. There are hundreds of raiders outside. If you don't have anywhere else to go, follow me." She warned him. Echo spun on her heel and opened the doorway that blended in with the wall. No one knew it was here except the employees. She stepped in and flipped on a light. She raced up the steep, small staircase to the library's attic.
"Come on, Tess!" Trisha called to her sister. A raid has surprisingly sprung on the land of Zationia. Trisha and her sister were gathering things for their bizarre stand.
She climbed the library steps on all fours. She waited for her sister to join her, as Navalen raiders stormed toward the library.

"I'm coming!" Tess screamed. She rounded the corner on all fours and met her sister on the steps of the library. She has her gun on her belt of her shorts. She stood up on her feet and got her gun in her hand. Her and Trisha started to open the heavy door of the library. They got in just as the raiders were getting close.
Tess breathed as they were in the old, yet interesting library. "Come on, we gotta find some place to hide." Her tails started to sway side to side as they jogged through the library.
Tess saw a women by the check out counter enter a hidden doorway. A men was on the other side. "Follow me, Trish." She told her sister. She ran up to the counter, jumped onto it, and jumped through the door. She hoped her sister was following her.

Trisha followed her sister through the door and jumped up the stairs. She didn't wan tot get caught in the middle of another raid, again.
Echo jumped as two orange ottsels sped in front of her.

OOC: Yeah my main charrie is in enough threads that this is a stretch for what I do, but I'll just say this was during a different point in time. After all this is his homeland ;D
IC:
Zationia, Jyo's birthplace. The elementalist had come here to visit family and rest from his travels for a while as he did from time to time, but this visit was different. He had arrived just before the raiders had come. Jyo knew the guards were trained warriors, but they weren't going to be able to stop the tide of attackers coming in before considerable harm was done.
The brilliant green eyes narrowed as lightning crackled around the young warrior and he pulled the katana from it's sheath with his left hand. How dare you invade my home? he thought as he ran to the battle. Jyo liked Navalen and many of the people in it, he had done many jobs there, but when people attacked his home, Jyo would give no quarter.
Darting in and leaving a blur in his wake, Jyo slashed through his first foe along the gut and let the man's entrails spill out. By the time his first target hit the ground, Jyo had already torn through two more victims. His eyes reflected nothing but the lust for death. Jyo was weaving through foes and striking them down without mercy. Every so often several foes would be flung back following the sound of thunder as Jyo let loose with his weapon and electrical abilities, but he was still only one person. After his initial rush he was now striking foes down as he retreated. The only safe haven would be the library where raiders started heading toward after two small shapes went inside the building. Jyo knew he had to give those people a chance to do whatever it was they had planned. Not to mention he needed to get to cover himself.
Rastal Carlithian smiled widely as he waded through the battle between the guards and the raiders. He was in his element now, striking down people from both sides. It didn't matter to him as to which side came out as the victor. He was here for the battle and the carnage that ensued around him. He had left his gun behind and was attacking people in hand to hand combat, but being a shape shifter, he could morph and let his hands become as claws so he could tear his foes apart. Explosions would sound as he let loose with kinetic energy and he killed several people each time, raiders and guards alike.
As he waded through the battle his eyes settled on a young man with a sword moving incredibly fast. Here was prey worth hunting down. Ignoring the rest of the battle, Rastal made his way to the young man who was retreating to the library. "Hello prey." He said with a sick smile on his face as the hateful eyes kept locked onto his target.
Jyo had reached the library doors when he noticed the man making a direct line to him. Jyo noticed that this man looked highly dangerous and seemed to ignore everything else in the battle. The elementalist knew that he was likely in for a rough time here. He had no idea how right he was. The man approaching lifted a hand and the next thing Jyo knew, he caught and explosion full in the chest which blasted him through the library doors and sent him skidding along the floor before rolling to his feet and standing shakily.
Rastal was already upon him. Jyo got the sheath of his weapon in the way of an attack sent by his foe and the force of the blow drove him back a step as Rastal's other hand came in for a slash across his chest. Jyo had moved, but he felt the fabric of his shirt get torn apart as he evaded the attack and sent the blade in for a slash across the side of the man's neck.
An irritated look crossed Rastal's face as the young man evaded his attack, Rastal wanted to bleed his target a little bit before they really got started, he loved tasting the blood of a man he was going to kill. Out of the corner of his eyes he noticed raiders starting to come through the door. "You will not intervene in this." He said darkly as he created a kinetic explosion at the top of the door frame and crushed many raiders, he also made entrance very difficult by doing this. He looked back to the young warrior he had hunted down only to see the young man's blade about to slam into his chest. Rastal attempted to evade, but an electrical charge built up and an explosion was created which flung him away. Rastal was able to create one more kinetic explosion before being knocked away by the blast. He made it count as well, though not as much as he would have liked.
Taking advantage of Rastal's distraction, Jyo attacked and used his thunderclap strike to send the man out one of the windows of the library, but Rastal had gotten in one more blow. he had created the blast right under the skin of Jyo's ribs on his left side. While Rastal flew out the window from Jyo's attack, the young elementalist was thrown to the side and hit the ground hard. His jacket was fine, but that part of his shirt was torn away and the wound allowed his ribs to be shown before the blood started pooling there and leaking out. No dammit, not here. He thought as he removed his jacket and tore his shirt away, He wadded up the cloth and pressed it against the wound with a hiss of pain before slicing off one pant leg with his sword and using it to tie around the makeshift bandage. After putting the jacket back on, he tried to get to his feet. Sheathing his weapon, Jyo used it as a brace to start moving deeper into the library. The raiders were making a ruckus at the collapsed doorway and Jyo knew they would get in at some point.
There are others in here, I can only hope they can fight off whatever force makes it inside. He thought as he started making his way up the steps leaving a trail if his blood behind. Jyo was already starting to look a little pale, he needed to find something or someone to help him quickly He refused to let it end here, there had to be something that would assist him here. "Help!" he cried weakly, for the first time in his life, Jyo was going to have to try and put his life into the hands of another.

Tess felt a force in her mind. Someone was hurt, somewhere in the library. Tess gulped as her sister passed her on the stairs. Tess looked back down the stairs. She had to go help whoever it was.
Tess made it out of the secret staircase and started to run through the library. She found a man, he was bleeding under his ribs on the left side. Tess came to the man and stood up on her feet. "Stay still, and i can help you." She told him in a quiet voice.
Tess jumped up and climbed his arm to his shoulder. She pressed her paws against his chest and started to heal him with her mind. A few seconds alter, the wound was healed up and gone. "Go, now! You need to hide, go!" She yelled at him. Tess started to run back toward the staircase.

Jyo had collapsed onto his back as Tess reached him. He looked puzzled as she instructed him to hold still, but he wasn't in any position to do otherwise even if he wanted to. Relaxing and taking a deep breath, he let Tess do her work.
Soon he felt no pain, and as he looked down he noticed that wound was gone. Not even a scar that he could notice. "Incredible." He said as he got to his feet and gave a small bow. "You have my thanks, I'm at your service at all times. We'll save the proper introductions for later, but call me Jyo." he said as he pulled the weapon loose again. "Let's do as you say and hide, I'll run cover." he said as he let Tess lead the way. He was a fearsome foe, but he was still outnumbered and that psycho was out running around in the battle.

"Will you just shut up and follow me?" Tess screamed as raiders broke through some of the windows. She got on all fours and started to run back to the secret staircase. She jumped onto the first stair. The man by the counter was now on the staircase. Her sister, Trisha was waiting for her.

"Are you trying to get us killed, Tess?" Trisha screamed. "Come on," She ran up the staircase on all fours. Her sister behind her. Her sister started to tell her how a man was hurt. "I don't care!" Trisha told her. "I care about you and me. Now shut up." Trisha bossed. She didn't mean to be, but raids were serious. Her and Tess almost got killed one time.
Echo finally got to the attic. Old books were stacked everywhere. And in those books were guns. The old owner stored all of his weapons in here for raids like this. Especially raids like this. Echo didn't care about anyone else but herself at this point. She pulled her hair out of the ponytail and let it hang as her short bob. She opened a large book and pulled a large blaster out. She was ready for whatever was going to happen.

"Sounds good to me." Jyo said as his eyes narrowed seeing the raiders coming through the windows. He retreated with Tess, but the raiders reached him. Slashing out he sent two of them flying back with his weapon. One made an attempt for attack and Jyo deflected the attack and kicked out sending the man down.
Jumping back Jyo avoided a strike sent at him by another raider as he landed, he looked over his shoulder. "I hope you have a good hiding place." He called back as he blocked an attacked with the sheath of his weapon.
Just standing there on defense was something he could handle. He didn't know as much about the library as he would have liked now. he would have to depend on the others and simply pull his weight.

Zeke was confused by the sudden instrustions and rushed down the stairs after the two rat like creatures. I can't belief this raid! He thought to himself he could hear the pounding of the raiders echoing though the building itself. As a percausion he reached behind him, pulling his sword out of the sheath. Smileing as he brang it out in front of him, the gray blue metal shineing.
I think I'm ready for whatever happens.

Tess jumped behind a large stacks of books and sat and waited by her sister. She breathed heavily. "This is not good. We have to find a way to get back to the harbor." She told her sister.
She got her small gun out and looked behind her shoulder, around the stack of books. The two men and the girl was in the attic with them. "Great," She muttered.

Jyo started heading back to where Tess had started running and noticed another person brandishing a sword, ready for combat. Jyo stopped next to Zeke and grinned. "Another ally against the raiders I hope." He said as he turned on his heel to face the way he had come. More raiders were starting to come in.
"What the hell do they want with the library?' He wondered aloud as his eyes narrowed. A small grin appeared on his face. "You best know how to use that damn thing, we have people to cover." He said as he let himself relax so he could be ready for the smooth, quick and fluid motions that made him effective. Eagerness radiated out of him as the raiders approached.

Echo saw the other man and pointed the gun at him. She saw he meant no harm. She brought her gun down to her side. She sighed impatiently. She heard the other man asking what the raiders wanted with the library.
"The raiders want books." Echo answered. "A long time ago, some Zationian raiders stole millions of books form the Navalins. Irreplaceable books. They're in a vault in the basement of the library. I don't even have the key." Echo told them. The old caretaker still had the key. "The Navalins have been trying to get these books back ever since."
Trisha climbed the books and stood on top. "Are you people crazy?" She asked. "Do you think three nobody's are gonna shape up to thousand of Navalen raiders?" She asked them again. "Well, you can stay here and be Navalin meat....but me and Tess," She noticed her sister was standing next to her. "are getting out of here. Come on, Tess." Trisha said. She jumped off the stack of books and went over to a window. "Can somebody open this for me?" She asked. Damn my short stature!, she screamed in her mind.

Tess stood on the stack of books twiddling with her thumbs and twitching her ears. She wasn't sure if it was safe to go to the harbor. The raiders were everywhere and this seemed like the most secure place.
Plus, there were alot of hurt people Tess could heal. She bit her lip and waited to see what would happen next.
