Heading out (Cherry)

Katrina nodded and watched the ocean ripple. Katrina heard something like a twig snap. She turned around and looked into the forest. Katrina didn't see anything. She quickly forgot about it and turned back around.

Katrina watched Jyo sit a little ways from her and pat the sand next to him. Katrina thought about it then slowly scooted next to Jyo. She heard another twig snap. Katrina looked back again, but nothing. She was starting to get nervous.

[Jyo]

Jyo grinned as Katrina scooted closer and he put an arm over her shoulders.
"Not a bad first day eh?" he said as he looked over at her before letting his gaze shift over to the setting sun. It hit the horizon and there it was, the brilliant flash of greenish blue. It lasted for only a brief moment, but that was all that was needed.

He had noticed the twigs snapped. His eyes narrowed.
"It seems we have company, I was hoping it was a passing animal." He said as he took his arm away from Katrina's shoulder and tensed while lightning crackled around him intensly in case the other person out there was hostile

Misty saw that they had noticed her. Damn my humongous boots! she screamed in her mind. She tried to move form her resting place and another twig snapped. Crap! She yelled. She got out her gun, just in case they weren't friendly.

Katrina was startled when Jyo put his arm around her shoulders. But in some way, she kind of liked it. She watched as the sunset and another twig snapped. She sighed in annoyance. Katrina was slightly disappointed when Jyo took his arm off of her shoulders.

Katrina turned around and twisted her tail as she watched into the dark jungle of the Pine Forest.

[Jyo]

"Stay on your guard, we've had company for a while." Jyo said to Katrina as he looked around trying to determine the source of the noises. Figuring out the general area he sprang into actions.

Jyo rolled over to his sword and grabbed the sword that had been laying there and got to his feet in one smooth motion as his left hand flew to the handle of his weapon and his eyes narrowed.
"Alright, come on out. We won't attack you if you make sure to keep to the same terms." He said while the arcs of lightning jumped off of him.

Misty cursed a million time in the back of her head. She knew this was a bad idea. Why did she even bother coming? Great, she said to herself. She slapped herself and looked through the small break in the leaves.

Maybe I can scare them off the beach...Misty thought. That's the good thing about her power. She angle her hands so that the fire would aim through the break in the leaves. She bit her lip and fired a fire ball at the girl.

Katina saw the fire ball and shot up into the sky. "What the &@#%?" She screamed. She shot into the trees. She looked around from her sky view of the forest. She spotted a girl.

Katrina sighed and jerked her head back. She aimed down into the trees. She came up on a branch behind and grabbed it. She swung on it and kicked the girl on her back and sent her flying through the trees to the beach. Katrina fell on her feet to the ground. She fixed her jacket and muttered, "Why the hell do i keep getting attacked?" She slowly broke through the trees and stepped back on the beach.

Katrina looked at Jyo. "Remember when you said "a trip uninterrupted would be nice"? i think you jinxed us."

[Jyo]

Jyo moved to intercept the fireball sent at them. His sheath was brought up to block the projectile in case Katrina didn't react in time. Fortunately she had already moved and had gone into the trees.

Jyo moved in the direction the Katrina had gone. Wasn't sure who or what they were going after now, but he wasn't letting her go alone.

After Katrina's retaliation on their attacker he couldn't help but grin.
"Then we'll just have to find another time where we can have some alone time without disturbances." He replied.

Misty screamed a little as she was sent flying onto the sandy beach. She got up on her hands and knees. "What the hell?" She looked back and saw the girl. "What the hell did you do? How did you-? You used to be on the beach." Misty got up on her knees and brushed the sand out of her hair. "Aw." She sighed. She guessed she wasn't getting out of here without a fight. "Damn." She muttered. She got up and stumbled a little bit. "You're a pretty good kicker. I guess I'll give you props for that." She shrugged.

Katrina laughed and smiled at Jyo and walked past him on the beach. "I guess we just have bad luck." She said looking over her shoulder.

She stood a little away from the girl lying on the beach. After got up and commented on her kick Katrina said, "Um...thanks? Anyway...why in the hell did you throw a fireball at me?" Katrina asked. "How did you throw a fireball at me?' Katrina asked, looking at the girl's gun. "That's just an old mod Scatter gun."

[Jyo]

Jyo looked back down at the person who had attacked them. He wasn't too awful curious about how a fireball was sent their way, he had dealt with such things far too many times for it to be a huge issue to him.

"I'm more interested as to why you attacked us in the first place. I don't remember giving you any trouble before, and unless I'm a bad judge of character, Katrina isn't the type to make enemies." He said.
Granted she seems to be a magnet for attacks from what I've seen, but it seems to be random for her. He thought.

Misty brushed herself off and smirked when the girl commented on her gun. "Hey, this may be an old mod, but it's pretty damn good."

She looked at the man. She bit her lip. What was she supposed to tell him? That she had money underneath the sand and she wanted to scare them off the beach with her freak power? "Umm..." She looked at the girl. "I was mistaken. I thought she was someone else." misty shrugged. "I'm gonna go now." She started to walk away.

Katrina looked at Jyo. "I try to make enemies." She commented.
"But lately, I've just been wondering why I am always being attacked...or shot at." Katrina crossed her arms and listened to the girl finish her story. She could tell she was lying. She had spent over 11 years in the Waste. She could tell people's facial expressions and body language when they were lying. "you're lying." Misty looked back at her.

Katrina sighed. "You bit your lip and there was a long pause. That means you were trying to make up an excuse over the real story. That one was obvious. Then you shrugged. That pretty much indicates that you're trying to seem like the story is true, when it really isn't. You don't even believe the story yourself. You're not very good at lying." Katrina told her. She looked at her.

"So, I'm gonna ask you...what is th real reason you're here?" Katrina asked.

[Jyo]

Seeing the girl getting ready to try and leave, Jyo moved leaving little more than a blur behind him as he got between the girl and the forest she was heading to.
"Not until we get a strait answer." He said softly as he sheathed his weapon and flashed a smile. It wasn't his normal friendly smile, it was predatory, as if he were a jungle cat that had found it's next meal.

Jyo didn't like people lying to him, normally he would let it go though he disliked it, but they had been attacked and Jyo wanted to know what this was all about.

Misty sighed of annoyance. he tipped her head to the side and ran her fingers through her short hair. "You wanna know thew truth?" She looked at the man. "Fine." She muttered. She might as well tell them the truth and get out of here in one piece.

"There..." She choked on her words. "a few years ago I buried some money on this beach...I came back to get it and you two were here. I didn't' wanna start digging up bundles of cash in front of two people i don't know anything about. I mean you could have been robbers for goodness sakes! Anyway...that's why i tried to shoot a fireball at you. To scare you off the beach."

Katrina looked at Jyo, then looked at the girl. "if u needed this money...why didn't you just come back some other time...or talked to us. It's not like we were gonna rob you or anything." Katrina told her. It's not like Katrina wanted this girl as an enemy. "You didn't have to attack us."

Katrina moved over toward the fire she had built and sat down on the sand. "There were many possible solutions, ya know?"

[Jyo]

Jyo sighed and gave a chuckle.
"If that was all, go ahead and dig it up. We aren't robbers, we are just traveling." He said as he went to go and sit by Katrina.
"Sorry about this, I was really hoping we could have a nice peaceful trip he said before looking back to Misty to see and hear her response to what he and Katrina had said.

This is a shame. I was really hoping for a nice peaceful night with her. I guess we don't get to be so lucky tonight. He thought with a slight frown on his face.

[echo]

"Uh...ok?" Misty guessed as Jyo walked past her. She slowly walked across the sand and she could feel as her boot hit the hard box she had the money in. She quickly dug up the sand and got the black box in her arms. "Well, that's all I needed." She whispered.

Misty looked over and saw the fire was dying form the oncoming winds. She went over and threw a small fire from her palm that hit the fire dead on. "Thanks...sorry for attacking you." She nodded at Katrina. She walked off the beach. She hooked the box to her zoomer an headed for the city.

Katrina smiled and shrugged at Jyo."It's fine...it's not like this was your fault. I wanted a peaceful trip too, but lately, I've been getting attacked. I have no idea why though." She watched as Misty came over and a fireball came off her palm and she walked away.

"I should have known...she's a fire spirit." Katrina smirked. "Not the friendliest people in the world." She laughed and smiled at Jyo.

[Jyo]

Jyo grinned at Misty.
"Just try not to set us on fire if we meet again alright." he said as she left he and Katrina to themselves. Though Jyo was a person who enjoyed the company of others, he was glad to be alone with katrina again.

He looked over at her as he got up to start cleaning and prepping the fish.
"So dinner was delayed, but I've got a few things in my bag I can add to help make it tasty enough to make up for it." He said. He finished the cleaning and prepping of the fish rather quickly.

Reaching for his bag he pulled out long thin metal spikes to spear things on and roast them with. Along with several spices and the like.
"So Katrina, that was a hell of a kick. I assume you are skilled in hand to hand combat to some degree." he said.
