Katrina nodded and stopped when Jyo inspected the plant. She hovered above and sat down on a branch. She looked down at him as he cut it from it's stem.
"Medicinal herbs." Katrina nodded. She thought those would be quite useful in his line of work. She pushed off the branch and landed on her feet.
"I'm sure those would be useful." Katrina said as she saw the herb from a closer look.

Jyo gave a nod in agreement. "They are indeed. They can't help with anything serious, but a light to medium wound can be handled by the proper application, though I'll have to mix the nutrients from the herb with a little water some blood tonight, it's a touchy herb to use, but still effective." He said before looking back at Katrina and grinning. "Shall we?" He said as he stood up again and started walking once more. They still had a long way to go, but they would be getting to the tunnels soon.

Katrina nodded as she continued to walk. Her tail twitched and her ears did the same as she could hear the birds and another creatures living in the thick forest.
Katrina stopped at the entrance to the tunnel that vines and fallen branches have hidden. "Lovely." She said as she kicked and picked the branches and other obstacles out of her way. She took her first step in the tunnel as the warm air hit her face. "Now all we have to get past is the tunnel." She said as she stumbled on the rocky pavement of the tunnel.

Jyo stopped as they arrived at the mouth of the tunnel. The last time he had been here he had found that there was the possibility that he could be the last of his race, the last elementalist. The very thought almost made him stagger. He shook his head and narrowed his eyes.
"Well, let's get through this place. I don't care for it and wouldn't want to spend the night in there." He said as he stepped forward. He didn't even consider how he and Audra had nearly been crushed inside these tunnels, that didn't bother him, that was a physical threat he could deal with. The secrets this place revealed to him where what made him edgy about the place.

"Yeah, I was never a fan of the tunnel myself. But it's a good, quick and safe way to get back to the forest." Katrina told him. She ran her fingers along the side of the tunnel. Where people before them have carved wirting and pcitures of animals. It always fasincated her. But she had seen it at least more then twenty times before.

Jyo started walking again and soon they were in the tunnels. Jyo pulled out a small lantern from a side pouch on his back pack and soon they were walking with only the light from his lantern and the crackles of lightning running across his body to allow them to see.
"I'll be honest, this place really bothers me now. It's not the dark or enclosed space, it's this place itself. There's a few things I found in here that I'm glad to have found, but still upset me deeply." He said as they made their way through. It wouldn't be too long of a walk, but it would still take enough time the Jyo doubted he would want to walk through here again for a long long while.

Katrina looked at Jyo. He did seem really upset. She had never seen him this upset before. She looked at the carvings on the walls as she slowly brought her hand down. It might have been something about elementalist...Katrina thought.
"May I ask what you found?" Katrina asked. If Jyo didn't want to talk about, she'd shut up. But she was still curious.

"The day after I met you I decided to take a look around down here. I had been through these tunnels a few times, but I never took the time to actually pay attention to them. Eventually my curiosity took the best of me and I decided to do a little exploring." he said as they came to a fork in the tunnel, Jyo went down the route they needed to take to get through.
"I met a young woman named Audra, she was an artifact hunter, between the two of us we found a room that had been sealed off, inside it were several artifacts from many races of our world. Some journals had odd crests on them, one of them was my family crest. They chronicled my race's history and it was very pleasant to find out about where I cam from." he said while flashing a smile, though that went away quickly.
"But there was a sudden disappearance of my race, not long before my mother and father decided to live in Zatonia, I looked through every record we found, but there was nothing. I have found that it is likely that I am the last of my race, it is a distressing thought to have. And being here just brings it to the front of my thoughts." He said with difficulty. Being the way he was, Jyo didn't do well with the idea of being alone in such a way. his father obviously had the blood of his race in him, but the powers of his race seemed to have skipped over him and manifested in Jyo. The idea of being the last of one's kind wasn't something that Jyo had been dealing with well since he had made this discovery.

"Oh." Katrina bit her lip. She knew how Jyo felt about his race and wasn't sure what to say. "I've met Audra." She added, trying to pull away from the subject and Jyo's mind off of it. "She's really nice...and so are some of her friends. They found some artifacts in the forest one time."
Katrina struggled and watched her step in the dark tunnel. The only light was Jyo's lantern.
